  1. I believe you got your gold medal in this competition The next award is a golden email.
  2. Oh my god, I did not realise how many people are still waiting from 2016-2017. You all guys must be very strong to wait for such long time. I wish you all guys to get your visas by the end of this year.
  3. According to my knowledge, interim Medicare is an adequate health insurance, and you can stop your private insurance while still being on 457 visa, once you got Medicare. (I did this by myself.) And I confirmed this information in the medicare office. Also from my experience, immigration department gives sometimes different answers to the same questions, when you call them. So I would not trust to what they say.
  4. Where did you see a word "private" in that requirement? It says "adequate", not private.
  5. As far as I remember somewhere reading the law it was also mentioned "at the same location". But I do not remember exactly, whether it applies to the time period you had to work to apply for TRT, or for the whole process.
  6. Just 18 months mate? Then you are still within the timeline, which is 19 months now. By the time you reach 19 months, they will increase the timeline again, lol.
  7. In my opinion, you can safely wait for about five-six months, and then do your health assessment. I doubt any case officer will be assigned earlier than in six months period.
  8. They also earn more money by doing so. A company has to pay for the nomination.
  9. It looks fine to me, but perhaps it is better to seek a professional advice from a MA.
  10. Guys, I forgot to add my internship in the employment history in the application form. I just did not consider it as employment. Though, technically I was paid, so some may consider it as employment. Do you think it is a concern and I should submit a correction form, or is it fine to leave it as is?
  11. These numbers do not look too bad. While in fact the waiting time for 186 has been almost tripled since last year; a number of highly educated people now prefer to immigrate to Canada instead of Australia. In Canada, as I remember the full PR process takes about three months at most (they do specify the upper limit), and it is several times cheaper as well. This I believe will affect the economics of this country and it is sad that it is happening.
  12. I think, if all visa applicants passed the medicals and police clearance, this should not happen (in most of the times).
  13. 457 visa has been abolished. A replacement TSS (482) visa can be issued within two months, it is a much quicker than its predecessor.
  14. Have you tried 13 18 81 ? As I understood some ppl from this forum called to the department after March 2018, and were able to speak with someone on the line.
