Secondary applicant can live any where. Currently, there is no condition with their visa.

The issue is not really the staff population, its just an intentional strategy to reduce number of visas granted per year. However, those strategies are not healthy for the applicants, it look like torture. There could be other ways to reduce number of visas granted rather than long processing time which does not exist in any part of the world and appears to be inhuman treatment.

Some one have answered your question but you keep asking the same. If you are in doubt on what to do, ask your agent which i know you have one. No one tied you here to one job. What you need to concentrate is on the condition of your visa not employment contract. Once two years is completed in your employment after PR grant, nothing stops you resigning from your job but before you do that, follow the instructions on your employment contract on how to notify the employer. Most times, 2 to 4 weeks notice is required.

Why not write to the immigration direct about this issue and hear what they will say instead of third party information.

Because one have to move on with other better positions. For example, you have worked 2 years for your organization and they sponsored you and it took 2 years for the visa to be processed, how do they expect you to be in that role for 6 years without advancement, that is not good for any human being except those who chooses to remain. For example, if you are an IT Technician, and have worked with your organization for 1 to 2 years, you will like to move to high position like team leader, supervisor or manager of an IT department and you are able to secure this job outside your organization, how will you feel.

First time to hear about this in the news. Hope the new Government will have a rethink and do the needful thing and relief applicants from this ugly situation. 187 visa is the main visa designed to keep people in the region, i hope they understand this.

Am not sure it required parliamentary approval. It is a rule not a law.

It is really a good news, they should not just take applicants for granted, we deserve some respect. Am still surprise that after march announcement, which am aware that the applicants rate has drastically reduced but they are still delaying visa processing.

The rate at which they were processing visa 3 weeks ago, i thought that they wanted to release us.

Hi, if i secure my visa and after working for like a year and my employer granted me a year or 2 years study leave, will immigration cancel the visa.

Most of the occupation in your area are been processed very quick, between 5-9 months.
