  1. It depends on your occupation how long processing will take. This is from their website: The changes to priority processing arrangements address the needs of industry by targeting skills in demand across a number of sectors, while ensuring that the Skilled Migration Programme is responsive to the current economic climate and the needs of the Australian economy. Priority processing arrangements are subject to changes in response to Australia’s economic situation and do not change visa eligibility criteria. Priority processing arrangements apply to current applications, including those in the final stages of processing. Departmental case officers must follow the direction made by the minister about priority processing and cannot process applications outside of the set order.
  2. I heard them talking mainly about 457 visas but I took a shot and asked her some questions even tho I have an MA myself, its always good to hear a second opinion. I asked if there was any progess since the 1st of march since number of applications must have slown down. She said that they are overwhelmed with the number of applications since the july changes and that it is a big mess. The last 2 days the system wasnt working and she couldnt log in and submit any applications or documents until this morning. I dont know if that meant that immi couldnt do their work but at least it explains the gap in granted visas. Good to hear we have some grants today, so now its just a matter of processing the rest of us!
  3. I just had an MA in our shop. Appearantly the system was down for 2 days so that is why we didnt have any grants this week. Should be up and running now so hope for some good news from someone!
  4. Hi I have been reading for a while on this forum and never posted anything. Its a bit addictive. I applied for 186 DE as restaurant manager early aug 2017. I just saw online that they changed the waiting time 186 DE today to 9-11 months (from10-15) so I assume they are getting on top of it all! Fingers Crossed!
