  1. Thanks for the information! I am just wondering. You are one of the quickest to get a nomination approved and also in a HR occupation... since you wrote quite a lot of messages here, did you also write immigration a lot? Because if so, maybe it does help then
  2. Yes I assume he is wrong but he has been saying more often that he is from 2018. He might just have mixed it up but now I want to know
  3. Wow! So you are one of the quickest that we have seen on here ! And you worried the most
  4. Congrats! Hopefully you can start living your life again! Did you apply in 2018 or 2017?
  5. Whooohooo lets go restaurant managers that have been waiting forever!! Enjoy freedom
  6. Whooohooo lets go restaurant managers that have been waiting forever!! Enjoy freedom
  7. Do you mean may 2019 it will expire? i think there is someone else here in a similar situation. Because once the 457 expires I think you cant lodge a new (partner) visa onshore. So I suggest wait closer so the expiry date of your 457 and change to partner visa end of april if you still haven’t heard anything?
  8. Congrats! What a wait. I told myself when i openend the forum today that if I didnt see a 2017 grant , I would give up and leave the country. And there you are! So thanks and enjoy freedom!
  9. I had the same thought after 18 months without contact I planned to go back home this feb. however now it is coming near I just cant do it. I feel like I will regret leaving before any answer. Its just very annoying that there is no maximum waiting time for the remaining 10%
  10. Anyone has any information on how they are planning to get on top of the old applications ? Have been waiting almost 1.5 years and even though they seem to process faster now, the 10% outside processing times is completely left in the dark.
  11. Time for some 2017 approvals!! BTW in the last 6 months I already put 6 bottles of sparkling in the fridge to attract good news, but somehow I always find another reason to open them Losing faith here !!
  12. I cant find the option to add a signature? Can you tell me where in my account I can add this?
  13. There are a few High risk occupations that they investigate more because there has been a lot of false information in the past. (FYI im a restaurant manager). i applied with an MA for DE. what about you! What occupation? And where are you and your partner from?
  14. Yes I applied with my defacto partner, met in Australia and have been together for 5 years. We are not married tho and have passport of 2 different continents. I have been waiting almost 18 months. But then again my occupation is a risk too.
  15. I have not seen anyone on this forum at least being asked for a new IELTS. Mine is expired too but it is fine as long as it is not older than 3 years at the moment of submitting your application. anyway it would not really make sense to request this. I dont think someone’s english gets worse the longer they stay here..
  16. Ow yes! That is right actually. But we already get a bridging visa A granted the same day when we apply for PR and it will only be activated when your current visa expires.
  17. I think everyone gets a bridging visa A while your current visa is still valid and it will turn into a bridging visa B if your current visa expires. You probably just got a grant of the bridging visa because you added someone on there. it should not be related to your PR application so also this case officer is probably not going to be the one handling your 186 visa application
  18. Try to enjoy life a bit. Nothing we can do! As far as I remember you applied June 2018? so that is 10 months after me. Be ready for a long wait and faith will decide. easier said than done im pretty anxious and frustrated too but by destroying your daily life you only make it worse for yourself
  19. My MA confirmed that occupation clearly plays a role. I am a restaurant manager waiting 17 months and restaurant managers are being investigated much more than other occupations because a lot of places have been very dodgy with this. So occupations with high risks are more likely to wait longer.
  20. How many people feel like calling Immigration now that the timeline has changed?? I am now for the first time months over the processing times online!!(16.5 months DE) finally a real reason to call!!!
  21. Me and my partner used to own a cafe where I was sponsored, but the rules got changed and when you are involved in a 457 visa connected to the businness you can not be a stakeholder and definitely not the owner of the business. I had to change jobs because my PR would have been refused too. I do not know what visa this guy was on, but if he was on a 457 you can not own the shop you are sponsered in. I also doubt if a 7/11 can sponsor anyway? Its a franchise. Besides that if he was sponsored somewhere else it is not advised to own any business while sponsored because then they can argue that you have other priorities besides your sponsored position. so I am not very surprised that this person did not get his PR. Still sad for him tho
  22. Congrats!!!!! It makes me very happy to see that they do still pick up old files and also our days will come. you have waited long enough! Enjoy that wine!!!!!
