  1. According to this, you would get an invite on the next round with 75 points. http://www.iscah.com/3750-2/
  2. Hi Waris, just found this question as I was searching info on Murray 489 applications. We put our application in to murray about 3 weeks ago. How is your visa application going?
  3. Hi, I have been looking into a NSW 489 and particularly Dubbo as my occupation is on the list for that region. From what I have read, regional areas are more likely to give you a letter of release than say, a state for a state sponsored 190, as they know jobs can be hard to get. If you went to Orana and couldn’t get work you could probably get released, but obviously you would still have to live and work in a regional area while on a 489. There are some regional areas closer to cities which may have more job opportunities. For the 887, the conditions are that you’ve worked for 12 months and lived for 2 years in a regional area, not necessarily the one that sponsored you. Btw, if anyone knows any different to what I’ve said, please correct me! I’m interested too!
  4. Eligibility for 887 hold a subclass 489, 495, 496, 475 or 487, or a Bridging visa A or B after applying for a subclass 489, 495 or 487 visa have lived in a specified regional area of Australia for at least two years have worked full time in a specified regional area for at least one year You don’t need IELTS again
  5. That’s encouraging - I also have 60 points without the state sponsorship. My skills assessment has just been sent and that can take around 10 weeks. Fingers crossed it all happens quite quickly after that!
  6. We’re also going to to for 190 with NSW. I’m using an agent as time is limited - I have 5 years experience in the last 10 but have been working less than 20 for the last 4 1/2 so need to get the invitation while the 5 years are still valid. Couldn’t afford to make any mistakes and delay it. How long did it take to get the invite after your EOI?
  7. Over 20 hours a week counts and maternity still counts as you were still employed. I’m in a similar situation and using an agent who assures me the maternity leave still counts as being employed. We’re in the early stages and just sent skills assessment to our agent. Will be interested to hear how you get on with your application. https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/skilled/skilled-employment.aspx
