  1. I got my ACRO certificates in 2 days by post using the express service.. are you sure you used the right link? https://www.acro.police.uk/Police_Certificates_Online.aspx
  2. It seems to be some are asked and some are not. I guess this is a pretty cheap check, so why not. Now I go in to set it in motion, and the website is down until tomorrow night. Sigh.
  3. You have 5 years to settle in Australia, but you would then need a resident return visa (RRV) if you wanted to leave Australia again before you get your citizenship.
  4. I assume you are getting citizenship by descent for your twins - read the 1195 instructions properly won't you, mine got sent back as I didn't put middle names on the photo endorsements!
  5. I can't comment on timing, but I would consider whether your step daughter might in fact want to come later on, as it might be much easier to include her now than later.
  6. Thanks for you response. Hopefully my CO agrees on this point.
  7. My wife is a Perth girl, and we both love the city. Enjoy! I'm sure the time until your wife arrives will move pretty quickly. Anytime I ask about Jobs people point me to seek.com.au but I guess you know that already! I have also found the odd 2nd level connection via linked in, and will ask for introductions when the time comes.
  8. No they didn't request, but I haven't seen anyone say it wasn't requested, so thought I might as well get on with it. I also had the immediate request to arrange health checks, and I figure they have that as an automatic requested at the moment as they are moving quickly. Or maybe it always asks.
  9. I submitted yesterday, and my yes it is a bit all over the place in terms of uploads. I was expecting a split of compulsory vs recommended evidence, but all just one list. I've just sent off for our police certificates from ACPO express service, and my medical is next Tuesday afternoon in London. Fun fun fun!
  10. Hi All I have yesterday submitted my 309/100 visa application, and I have booked my medical and applied for UK police certificate for me and my wife (sponsor). My question is this - as we have lived in the UK for more than 10 years does my wife also require an Australian AFP certificate / clearance? Thanks Jon
  11. Congratulations! What great timing when you have a trip planned already! No rush now to move. I am hoping for a work trip to Australia to avoid blowing a flight just to activate.
  12. You can start the sponsor application online before you submit, I have done it. It only lets you through some basics though before it asks for the TRN and stops you progressing.
  13. Ah stop it I am getting frustrated waiting for my birth certificate copy to arrive.... If the prices go up / process changes in the next couple of weeks I will be well pissed off!
  14. Hi there, a question on the above comment. I found a link which says this: Partner (subclasses 309/100 and 820/801) visas cannot be capped. Can I assume there is not cap here? https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/brin/fami/capping-and-queuing

  16. Interesting question! Why would you use a agent at all unless someone else was paying? Your case sounds pretty simple. I am most of the way through gathering everything together, and so far I cannot see how an agent would have helped.
  17. Congratulationd! Amazing timelines. I wonder if they reallocated resources from some of the Visa types they are stopping. I am waiting for a few 888 decs to come back then I will be about ready to apply. Hopefully these timelines stay for a month or two!
  18. Hi Stung Where can I confirm that the statement is no longer required on the Relationship? If this is right I might add more in the online form before i submit. I guess I cannot change the form bit after submission.
  19. Hi All, just popped in to do some research to see you getting amazing turnaround times!! Congratulations. I am in the same boat as Min, kids citizenship applications are about to go in, I figure I will wait as we aren't going until 2020. It will be nice to have the visa sorted, although blowing £6k+ on a holiday a year before moving does feel a bit silly so i might go on my own / co-ordinate a work trip.
