  1. More likely than clamping down I agree mate. Clamping down on a rogue employers is one thing but not on occupations generally. Wish I knew how they allocated jobs to their CO's haha. So annoying!
  2. And even if they have 'clamped down on them', they can't just leave them at the back forever. If they were that concerned they would just remove them for the lists surely? They have had plenty of chances too.
  3. I can see why for cooks and chefs as that has definitely been abused when I worked in the industry many years ago.. but Im not sure on the marketing specialist one (I'm a marketing specialist ha)?..where did you get that from? or was it just a feeling you get based on the caveats?
  4. I was just about to ask the same thing ha.I saw on the spreadsheet that there has been some 'action in November and December!! AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGH ! (but good for them )
  5. I meant I dont understand the strategy. They still need to put a dint in that period irrespective of volume - i just wonder how their overall processing strategy is going to tackle the elephant in the room. And who audits them??
  6. Haha. Makes me laugh because its all so tragic. Im in 8.5 months roughly and haze zero faith or getting it before 12 months. When I saw they were processing a few earlier ones over the last few days on the spreadsheet I foolishly had a glimmer of hope...until I saw your comment! There is no logic!
  7. Great thank you for that. What the hell is going on in that office! Love to know the formula for calculating times. Surely there is someone on this forum is actively working in DIBP.... And yes i agree! What a load of codswallop
  8. I noticed on the spreadsheet that an application from March and from June have been processed. Fingers crossed they have started work on the backlog! For some reason I have a good feeling about this. Lets hope my instincts are right!
  9. Unfortunately Im in June. I have tried to come up with a rationale and prediction of when they will start going through those files again but according to this forum and the spreadsheet, the earlier part of the year and late 2016 has been left behind for some time yet.
  10. Can you elaborate on "hold back"? I can't see the logic but maybe Im missing something...
  11. I wonder if he has that in writing from them or has just made the assumption. If they are so stalled that should be reflected in the processing times and communicated properly!
  12. They usually don't reply. Depends on your inquiry and what email address you used? Did you get an automated response?
  13. Congrats! So let me get this straight, you have had your nomination granted but not the visa? Thye have just requested info. And it still says on your immi account "received"?
  14. Having said the above - we must remember that we on this forum are only a small segment of applicants (and most likely the most frustrated as we are looking to share our anguish on daily basis!), and that as I write this, people are getting grant letters. Thats what I'm trying to tell myself anyway!
  15. A friend of mine thinks the huge influx of applications in May/June 2017 has been sidelined strategically. Not sure why its strategic but they had 16,000 applications in June alone according to their newsletter back in November. That is not an insignificant increase in volume.
