    Thanks very much. Hello All, I submitted my Expression of Interest for Victoria with 70 points for System analyst on October 28th and I am currently waiting on an invitation to apply. I understand from Victoria website that this is the current process-we don't have to notify state, just apply EOI and wait. Please correct me if am wrong. Does anyone have any idea how long it will take to get invited to apply for visa?

    Hi We are also in the same boat with my husband having degree in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from India. We have applied our EOI for state nomination with out assessing his education. As you mentioned, there is too much ambiguity around this. We understand that if the degree is from a reputed university there should not be any issues. If you have any more information on this please can you share as well. Thanks.

    Hello All, I have applied for 190 visa, system analyst with 70 points (65 + 5) Victoria state 2 weeks ago and my husband applied with 65 (60+5) Appln programmer 190 visa Victoria. Anyone with any information on the chances or rough waiting time frame ? Thanks in advance.

    Hi, Thanks very much for the information. We have degree in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from India (4 year course). Also I tried to find information about VETASSESS which many people have mentioned for assessment of the degree. Its a bit confusing as there are mixed responses. DO you have any information on this please ? Thanks again.

    Hi, We had our RPL done by ACS. However, there is no mention of educational qualification in the assessment. This is for a mechanical engineer, applying for IT job as experienced in IT. Do we have to get our education assessed by someone? Does anyone have any experience on this? Thanks

    Also Chasing a dream, can I please know what skill your husband applied for? My husband is a Mechanical engineer and he applied for Programmer Analyst as he is working in the IT industry. He is asked to submit RPL and we are making progress with that now. Did you have any such experience?

    Hi, My husband was identified with Glucoma just 2 days ago. He is starting with his drops soon. Will this impact his visa in any way when we get the medicals done?

    I have few questions associated with RPL please1. If I submit my RPL Project report and if that is successful i get extra 5 points as they will use skill met date2.Most Important If RPL Project submitted is a failure because they did not like the report, do we just loose that extra 5 points and no other Risk to my existing previous application and I still get a 10 points for the experience I have in work (Work experience includes 13 years in IT or computer software)?4. Last option if I decide not to submit RPL at all i just loose that extra 5 points only ? and they will issue skill met date and I get final 10 points instead of 15 points?So in brief, is it safe to say that this RPL idea is only giving me one option to gain extra 5 points if it works out and if it did not work out i loose nothing other than not receiving that extra 5 points?I just wanted to make sure sir that by submitting RPL I am not messing anything else on my existing previous application.

    I got the ACS response today. My husband is a Mechanical Engineer, with 13 years of IT experience. We were silly not checking the skill type and now got a response from ACS skill assessment. They have come back that the skill type needs to be RPL Does anyone have any idea on RPL ? We are going to look into this in detail. But will be good to know from someone who has already applied and got ACS skill set assessed after getting the RPL.

    Thanks very much. I saw that their website is updated to 6-12 weeks. So might be there are lot of applications and its them getting through the backlog. Thanks again.

    Thanks very much. Looks like it has been changed. Earlier it was 4-6 weeks and the ACS website still says 4-6 weeks. Please can I know where did you see it as 6-12 weeks? Thanks again

    Hi, We applied for ACS with all documents attested by respective companies and solicitors on August 7th and my husbands on 1st of August . Today it is 14th September. We have not heard from ACS yet. Does anyone else face delay as well ?
