  1. Did you not read above? His date must be wrong as all his previous posts state 2017!
  2. It must be, see @Whites.uk post above. All his post history states he has been waiting since 2017.
  3. Unfortunately the majority of cooks and Restaurant Managers tend to attract higher waiting times than other occupations. Hopefully you will hear something soon
  4. Hopefully they will pick it up soon - wont be much longer for you Great to see another March application
  5. Just a tip for anyone who likes to bookmark this page. I would always create a bookmark for this thread but as it moves so quickly I would always have to click Last Page to get to the most recent post. If you bookmark the following link - https://www.pomsinoz.com/topic/193485-skillselect-ens-186-timeline/?page=9999 It will default to the last page. Hope this helps those who are as OCD with bookmarks as I am
  6. This has been discussed many times on the forum and seems to be a grey area. If anyone does plan to leave their sponsored employer before the 2 years id recommend leaving on good terms. IMMI generally don't keep tags on you and check you are still working there but I suppose all it takes is your ex-employer to call and inform them.
  7. If you already have your PR you should be fine. Remember, your required to have made a genuine attempt to stay in the position with your employer for 2 years.
  8. So they are paying you less than what is on the contract? Have you spoke to them to find out why they are paying you less than what is agreed? IMMI may check your payslip against your contract - the difference in salary may be a red flag. If you've already got your PR then you should be fine. Id just suggest you take this up with your employer.
  9. Welcome mate. I have added you to the spreadsheet - any issues with it let me know.
  10. Just to add to this. You would only need to pay excess medicare levy if you earn over a certain amount per year. Cant remember the exact amount but its worth looking up.
  11. This is correct. If your from the UK you are not required to have Private health insurance as their is Reciprocal Health Care agreement in place. I have had a medicare card as soon as I arrived in Australia - way before my PR was even lodged. It's good to have private health cover if your from the UK - for a better level of care - but it is not a requirement.
  12. I cant find the exact posts but there have been instances I've saw where they have given some leeway. Are yours about to run out?
  13. Why would you want to go back and work for an employer that had previously, unfairly, dismissed you?
  14. I gave the relevant department a call regarding it however was on hold for around 30 minutes so gave up. Found some more info here - http://guides.dss.gov.au/guide-social-security-law/2/2/4/50 Interesting....
  15. Does anyone have any experience of receiving "Parental Leave Pay" after being granted PR? My friend is due to have a baby in the next month and has just been granted PR. His partner was going to apply for the Paternal Leave Pay once the baby is born. However according to the following link, there is a NARWP. https://www.dss.gov.au/living-in-australia-and-overseas/updates Most migrants granted permanent residency from 1 January 2019 must wait up to four years before they can access certain welfare payments and concession cards. This period is called the Newly Arrived Resident’s Waiting Period (NARWP). Now for me it contradicts itself. As you could have lived in Australia for many years before PR is granted, so in effect your not "Newly Arrived. I advised him to call them up to clarify. I thought it was important to share on here though - as could effect peoples plans to have a baby.
  16. Hopefully by the end of Feb they should be well into the March applications
