    On one hand, happy for the people who receive update with short amount of wait; on the other hand, frastrated about the fact of disparities and Sydney city is dead silent. My view is that citizenship applications should not be taking this long to process which is ridiculous. All attention of government is on covid these days...

    Yep, you are right, I think you are only allowed to upload one form of identity document which in your situation should be your drivers license. Please do not forget to upload both sides of the license. Good luck.

    Has anyone been asked to provide the same thing as required document? Under the 1195 Identity declaration section, both my child and I were asked to provide Passport Photo only but not the actual form? Thanks.

    HI, I was having similar issue when uploading passport size photo front and back pages - the immi system does not align the main content of the photo to the centre, I tried to resize the upload photo a few times to rectify the issue. Maybe you wanna resize the files and see if it make things better? Thanks.

    Unfortunately it appears that the immi system is smart enough to now allow people to front load. Reason being is that if the residence period of 4 years is not met, the application simply cannot be proceed further to the document updalod stage. So have to wait till the day that you been here for 4 years, not a single day less. I had the same idea before and tried to front load but only so much info you can fill. So speaking of experience prepare the documents and as soon as the day comes, do them in one go. Hope it helps. Cheers.

    Congrats. As your son's application is separate one, I don't think he has to wait until your application is approved. That is so fast by the way. Very lucky.

    When I did mine online, the site only asked me to provided a signed front and back passport photo by an Australian Citizen, rather than the entire ID form. Not sure if anyone has smiliar experience?

    Yes, sounds similar. I don't think the system is 100% user friendly. But just do what you asked I suppose. What I find difficult is that it asks me for endorsed passport size photo for an identity form. Didn't ask me to fill the form but asked me for photo. There are multiple photos in passport and drivers licence already.

    I agree with the potential theory of occupation prioritisation. I.e. Applications with occupations of Australian shortage may get looked at earlier than others. But how does it makes sense on with "Jobs need to go to Australians first"? E.g. if you applied onshore under DE or TRT as a marketing specialist, wouldn't you have grabbed this 'Australian' marketing job already? Even with offshore, doesn't it mean that the job is offered to a foreign already? So regardless the job is filled by a non-Australian. To me this process does not ensure Australian get the job first! So from DIBP perspective, what is the point of making marketing specialist applicants' process longer? The occupation may not sound skilled enough to certain group of people, and Australia may not has a shortage of such occupation anymore. But the jobs are already taken by non-Australians. Most applicants ain't quit the jobs till they got PR. The new policy of charging thousands of dollars to nominator if they sponsor foreigners would actually help reduce the competitiveness of skilled foreign applicant. Therefore Australians are more likely to be hired for the same job!

    Thanks mate. Having read others' approval news in the past and with hindsight of my own journey as of today, personally I think it is likely DIBP uses a risk based approach for processing. The length of the process depends on a variety of factors such as risk and quality of the nominator, applicants' personal circumstances and etc. My application would probably have been deemed as one of the "decision ready" ones since both applications were submitted back in April 2017.

    Good news for me! 186 DE PR Granted today. Nomination and Visa applied onshore on 4/4/2017 Occupation: External Auditor Family of three in the application - my child and myself (main applicant) are citizens of a LR country whereas wife is citizen of a HR country) Nomination firm (which I am working for): One of the biggest professional services (accounting) firms in Australia/Globally with annual revenue in billions. No further documentation requested from DIBP. All the best to the rest of you!

    Congrats mate. This sounds like a super speedy one for DE applicant so great news for DE applicants. However I could not see your record of timeline on the spreadsheet. Could you please share more in regards to how many people in your application, did you apply onshore or offshore and have you been asked for any additional documents and etc? Many thanks.

    I think people refer them as High risk citizenship and low risk citizenship from DIBP's perspective. So if you have a passport which allows you to travel to Australia without applying a visitor visa, then you would be considered as low risk. However I do think this concept is out dated. I noted various applicants got approved around 6 months mark regardless of HR or LR.

    Has there been any solid observation/evidence that applications with HR applicants take longer to be finalised that LR applications? I am stuck in the middle that myself and child are LR and wife is HR. Don't really know what to expect next. Is there anybody who have been asked to provide AFP certificate even you have not been in Australia for 12 months in total? Many thanks.
