  1. We have not submitted our applications yet. Getting medicals done soon and will then submit them.
  2. I'm surprised they're asking you for this information. Not sure how people can provide an Australian address when they're not yet in the country and haven't arranged a rental yet etc? I'm in the UK. We have also completed the child visa forms and I (Father) am the sponsor for our children. I have not included an Australian address either as the forms only ask for your current residential address (which is in the U.K.). One of the questions does say that if your current address isn't in Australia you need to provide a statement explaining how you will meet your sponsorship obligations, so I have done this. Can others who have gone through this process please confirm that you don't need to include an Australian address on the forms? Thanks.
  3. Congrats on your child visa grant! That was quick and it's good news as I'll be submitting ours to London soon (front loaded with medicals and our Police checks). We need ours granted quickly as well as we've got a 1 year Resident Return Visa so want it sorting before we get close to the end of that and then we can sort out the house sale and shipping etc. Sounds like they're processing them quickly anyway which is good.
  4. Is anyone able to answer my queries above which I posted earlier in the thread? Thanks.
  5. Can anyone assist with the above? Thanks.
  6. No worries. This may help: https://www.border.gov.au/help-text/online-account/Documents/update_passport_details.pdf
  7. I haven't done it myself but I know that you can definitely do it from your online Immi account. I'd imagine that it's a fairly quick process.
  8. I have a few questions regarding Form 1229 & 47CH. 1) I have completed 2 child visa applications for our children, so that's two 47CH's & two 40CH's. I thought I would need to complete 2 Form 1229's as well but on the main front page Question 2 says "Give details of each child for whom you give permission to be granted an Australian Visa" and it has options for 4 children. I presume I can just put both of our children's details in that section and then we only need to submit the 1 Form 1229? 2) On the penultimate page of 47CH (the signatures section) who is required to sign section 57 & 58? So far I have just signed myself at 57 (Australian Values Statement) as I've completed the app on behalf of my child so I'm signing as the main applicant. At 58 (Biometrics Declaration & Consent) it mentions it should be signed by the main applicant (me on behalf of my child) and also by each accompanying person aged 16 or over. Does this mean that as we as parents will be accompanying our children to Australia that both parents also need to sign this section? That's what it seems like to me anyway. 3). I've seen people mention that you need to provide proof of funds, presumably in connection with the sponsorship, but I've not seen that requested on any of the forms? I know I have to provide payslips to show my employment for the last 2 years (I assume I don't need every payslip, just a few from the beginning and some from recently I hopefully to prove the 2 years?). Are there other proof of funds required as well then? Thanks.

    Medicals

Just had a quick check on my Immi account. It's a bit confusing (no surprise there) but it looks like if I select "new application" then "Health" I can pick Child 101 visa and then tick a box to say I've not already submitted the visa application, hopefully it will give me a hap ID at the end of that once I've filled in my children's details as the applicants. Thanks.

    Medicals

Thanks, I'll check my online Immi account when it's back online then. I just thought that account was only for my online applications which were our RRV's, but hopefully there is an option online as we do want to front load the child applications with the medicals.

    Medicals

Thanks, but as these are 2 Child Visa's which I'm applying for, which can't be done online (they have to be submitted in paper to London), I don't think that option will be available to us will it? Or can we still do that even if it's not regarding an online application? I already have an online Immi account but that was just for mine and my wife's RRV's which could be applied for online.

    Medicals

Me and my wife have recently been granted our RRV's, so we now have 1 year to move back to Oz. We need to apply for Child visas for our 2 children first however. To hopefully speed things up I wanted to submit our children's complete applications together with their medical checks. I have just rang the DIBP approved medical centre in Manchester to make an appointment but I was advised that they can't see us until we have a HAP ID number, is that correct? Does this then mean that we have to submit the child visa's first without doing the medicals? We have to submit the child visa's in the post to London as they can't be done online at present, do they send you a HAP ID pretty quickly when they confirm your application? As we only have 12 months I don't want to wait until medicals are requested, I want to get them done for the children as soon as possible. Can anyone advise on the above and the process? Thanks.
  14. Yeah we've back in the UK 10 years this month, so we did well to get our RRV's I suppose. We have 2 children now though so I need to get full child visa's for them and hope that they are granted within the 1 year we've been given, sure they will be if we gather all docs and medicals etc first and then submit the applications completed.
  15. Managed to finally get this sorted! I emailed client services in Dandenong who granted my wife's RRV this morning and they replied a few hours later with a new Grant Letter etc all in my wife's current married Surname. So thankfully that's all sorted and we've both got our RRV's granted! Now to just apply for 2 child visa's...
  16. Well so much for contacting DIBP about the surname issue. Woke up to an email today with my wife's Visa Grant letter! Only took them 24 hours. So that's good. Unfortunately it's still in her maiden name! It will be linked to her current passport which is in her married name though so I'm sure it must be fine. I'll no doubt have to ring DIBP and be on hold for ages just to confirm it though...
  17. In addition to my question in my last post, I assume she'd be fine boarding a flight as the tickets will always be in the same name as her passport as they'll both be in her current married name. I presume the issue may only arise when we land at Oz immigration if her visa is in her maiden name and her passport is in her married name, then they may question it. I've used the "update us" feature on our online application to ask them about it, hopefully they'll respond or just change the name. We've already uploaded our Marriage certificate and passport with the visa application as well which will confirm the name change since the original visa. If they don't change it then I don't know what we'll need to do....
  18. Ok thanks. Looks like I'll have to contact them then. Do you know why they would've listed it in her maiden name? If I go back into her application answers it clearly shows that I've put her married name as her current name along with her passport details and then I've entered her Maiden name in the previous names section, but they've listed the application in her maiden name. Is it because that's what her original visa was granted as? If it has to stay with her maiden name for that reason how would we get it changed to her correct surname? Thanks.
  19. Just as an addition to this, as my wife's original visa was in her previous surname, if the RRV is granted and it's still in her maiden name, will we need to get this changed somehow to her current surname or is it fine because the RRV will be linked to her current passport with her current married name? I'm probably worrying over nothing hopefully. Thanks.
  20. Hi, I've just been granted my RRV, which is great as it's practically our 10th anniversary since we returned to the UK. So now that mine has been granted I've just submitted an RRV application online for my wife. I completed all the details as I did with mine, I put my wife's correct current married surname and also listed her previous maiden name, I gave her correct passport details in her current married name as well. After completing the application I received an email confirming it was submitted but they've listed my wife's maiden name as the applicant. Even when I log into the Immi account it shows my wife's maiden name, even though that isn't her current name. Have they made a mistake or are they just using her maiden name because this is an RRV application and her original permanent visa was in her maiden name? I'm just concerned if it's granted in her maiden name then there may be some issue when travelling? It would be linked to her correct current passport with her current married name anyway so it may not matter. It just seems strange that they've listed the applicant with her previous maiden name and not her current married one, unless as I say, it just has to match the original visa? Has anyone come across that before? I'd rather not have to contact DIBP about it if there's no isssue. Thanks.
  21. This thread is helpful, thanks. We will be applying for 2 child visas for our children. Can one parent be the sponsor on both child applications and therefore fill out Form 40CH twice with my details (the Father?). My wife can sponsor one child if needs be but just thought it would be easier filling out my details for both applications. Thanks.
  22. Thanks I may try calling them. May cost a bit for a lengthy call to Oz from the UK though. I have actually sent them a couple of extra docs just by emailing them back, you can do that but it advises you not to as it may delay your application and they don't acknowledge them either. These were just docs I wanted to add on initially but wasn't able to due to the limit. The evidence they asked for I'd already supplied, well I can't provide anything else anyway so we shall see...
  23. Not tried calling them but tried emailing them and so far no response. I'll probably just wait it out and see what happens. Have to go through this all again for the wife if mine is granted! Oh and then a small matter of 2 full child visa applications...
  24. Yeah seems ours are similar. Hopefully they don't ask you for more docs, I'm really not sure why they asked me as I'd attached everything at the outset and can't even attach anything else due to the 30 doc limitation...
  25. Mine isn't straightforward either as I don't satisfy the 2 years in 5 requirement or have a job offer etc. I'm needing to show the substantial ties to Oz and compelling reasons. I'd imagine the straightforward cases are processed quite quickly.
