Hi Val, my parents also have applied for a 173, since the processing time was quicker last year. Oh what a change a few months can make. Hope the processing expedites again. For the fees they charge, they could surely add more staff and in Australian terms "create more job opportunities' !

Hi AMP, Since Bill has his acknowledgement and vac taken on 15/09, do you think he would register as a September lodger or an August lodger. Either way, I'm pleased to know 'lodgers' before my parents , so that they have an idea when it's time to 'get the luggage ready'. Judy.

Hi Kim, Do you know or in your opinion, does it take less processing time for 173 than 143, since there is no wait for AOS arrangement delays?? Sorry for asking you so many questions.... Its easier to relate to another 173 'Lodger in waiting' !! :wink:

Hi AMP, Good idea for late comers in the que to join together. My parents lodged a 173 in October 2015. Got the acknowledgement on 02/10/2015 and so was the 1st payment taken. Now sitting and waiting and waiting. :mad:

Thanks Kim, it is so nice to be in this forum . I was also assuming things , but you cleared my doubts. My parent applied only Last year, and its sooo hard to wait. I can imagine what others who applied in 2014 are going thru. Luckily there are like minded people here, to drown your anxiety and live in hope that the people before you get in fast. :wacko:

Hi Skeelsy/Kim, im new to the forum but I have been reading thru the interesting postings for some time now. Have you already submitted your medicals or still waiting. What I gather is that if you apply for a 143, you get a request sooner for medical and pcc. My parents have also applied for a 173.
