  1. Hi Alan, Are you required to take in a paper copy of your records when you attend your medicals appointment? My parents have various documents from specialists etc, but will they also need to get the paper records from their GP, or is the template for when you emigrate and want to bring across your medical history? Thanks for the template - it will be very useful!! Thanks :cute:
  2. Hi Julie, I have watched your posts for a while as my parents lodged on the same day as you....we are very over waiting, and would love to get some things completed so we can be ready for processing like you! I have emailed Immi, and they advise that they are not giving out any requests for June 2014 applicants yet. We'll try again in a couple of weeks..... The wait continues :err:
  3. It really is a lovely spot! We enjoy it here and can't wait for our parents to join us.
  4. Well, if you end up down the south coast of NSW then my parents will be here too as you know. I know they would value having friends in similar situations! The idea of a forum thread is a good one too. I'm sure there will be lots of things that you discover on your immigration journey that others would find useful :cute:
  5. Well, we tried emailing to request the Hap id and AOS letter today, but the reply was to wait until contacted by a case officer. Hmm. Think we will try again in a few weeks, as surely it would be of great help to have everything ready to go?? The wait continues....
  6. I know Julie - it feels like we are waiting to be asked for anything to get completed! We have form 80's ready to go, but need those Hap id's for medicals and letter for the AOS still. Surely there must be a plan to help them work through all these applications that haven't been advised to do anything? It would make life smoother for Immi if we got the things done and ready to go when its our turn!:dull:
  7. I was thinking the very same GeordieJoe!! I was going to wait until they are processing May dates and then get my parents to send an email requesting the Hap id. After all...it can't hurt to try!!:cute: Fingers crossed you hear soon HARLEYDPHIL.
  8. Great news maisiedaisy and Julie ? Fingers crossed now for you Harvi13!!
  9. Thanks Iron Chef - I'll chat to my Dad and get him to get in touch with you. I'm very relieved that it doesn't need to be registered - it would be very sad not to be able to bring this car across as it has great sentimental value!
  10. Hi Iron Chef. I've been having a little read through all your posts about importing cars. My parents are currently in the long wait for their 143 visa, and are hoping to bring across a 1964 MGB car with them. It is currently being restored, but should be up and running again soon. Do you think it will be worth importing this car, and is it a costly process? Also, does the car need to be registered currently? Thanks for any help :cute:
  11. Its been great to read about the shipping options. I noted that you are taking a car over Patphillips47. My Dad is wanting to bring over his MGB, and wondered how I go about finding out about the import costs involved with this? Any help greatly received!:cute:
  12. Thanks for looking Fisher1! I am just trying to get all the papers in order ready for our request! I appreciate you help
  13. Hi Fisher1, I was just interested to know if you have to scan the Form 80, or if it can be posted? I know the email way will be quicker, but wondered what you had been advised by IMMI? Thanks for all the info
  14. Hi Bear2015, My Dad emailed them and he had a personal response within a couple of days. Perhaps you should resend your email?
  15. Hi Skeelsy, Yes I think I got carried away on the tracker - it was early days and perhaps I thought payment processed for the 1st VAC counted as acknowledgement! I have added my signature here with the correct info I'll update the tracker too. I'll be emailing IMMI today to notify them of our details changes. Thanks for all the help - I like to think of our envelopes waiting next to each other somewhere in IMMI Sadge!
  16. Hi Skeelsy, yes that's right...Kiama does have a blowhole near the lighthouse - its pretty good when the waves are big. Thanks for the info - I will try emailing, as I have all the information from my parents. Thanks for that
  17. Hi everyone, I have been silently watching your discussions around the 143 visa. My parents applied on 24/6/14, and like many of you have had acknowledgement, but not much else since. Both my sister and I live in Kiama NSW and are counting down the days until our parents arrive. We really can't wait to have them here to spend their retirement years, and time with family with us. It's been a long slow wait, but hopefully we are creeping closer to more action from immigration!! I also wondered if I could approach centrelink regarding the AOS process, but have a feeling that I need to wait for instruction from IMMI? Since their application, both my address and sisters visa status have changed. Can anyone also confirm if Form 1022 is the one we need to send to update these details please? Thanks - you're all a great source of reassurance whilst we sit this out!
