A lot of pending files who appeared in test in June and July. Now I think this change of rules is going to be finalised in a couple of weeks and it will make things even more, worse as the " Frozen" files will start melting. ....~!!!

It is really bad that immi don't have any follow up system. As you have missed the email they should send a follow-up email, call or letter and your time could have been saved. Anyways good luck.

75 days- That is a long time period already

In email, they said it is still processing..Case officer will contact if anything further needed. it is been 74 days already

I got an email. They said it was an error. All good

I have called the call centre. Call centre agent said that she will send an email to the processing centre and the processing centre may contact me by email or phone as needed.

I am trying to call, it was on hold for 1 hour and then dropped. I have called again now and requested for call back.

I got another invitation email for the citizenship test. I already appeared test on 23 June. I am not sure what is happening.

HI, Any one idea about the time frame of this legislative process. when will the new rules become a law? .Either way, if they want to implement 20 April 2017 date or some later date. It is quite frustrating that nobody knows what is happening since the announcement on April 20th. How long Senate will take to approve or refuse and what will be the next step?

Did you complete the Citizenship test or not yet?

I guess, This call did not count as the operator did not bother to ask about client ID etc so she did not check the file, just a generalised advise about the importance of patience...!!

Called DIBP today. Nothing productive, advised to wait ..!!

I have gone through the spreadsheet and found it is only Melbourne where applications are pending after the test. Most applications from NSW are processed and they have received the approval letters.

Max processing time is now reduced from 16 months to 13 months as per DIBP website
