  1. Hi everyone. Just had an email..........Visa Granted! Class 100. The best Christmas Present I could have asked for! For those of you still waiting, here are our circs........ I'm an Australian PR. My wife applied in May 2015 for a 309/100 visa for her and our 6 year old daughter. (Applied using paper application via London) Case officer notified us in June 2015. Medicals should not be completed until 10th Nov (completed 10th Nov) Police Checks completed 17th Nov. Visa granted 14th Dec. Must enter Oz by 17th Nov. Time- 7 months 4 days Best of luck to those of you still waiting. But lucking at recent events, it shouldn't be too long. Ours was a straight forward case in terms of relationship etc. (Been married 9 years with a 6 year old, always lived together in England)
  2. Congratulations, Did you apply via London from the UK? I only ask as we applied a few days later than you via London.
  3. Can anyone answer this one? I submitted a paper application to the AHC, London in May 15. Everything completed by Nov (health ass/ police check etc). Only one email received from CO (KC) in June advising that they was my case officer and when I should complete health & character checks. Sent an email to CO, once we had completed the above to confirm they had been received. I was advised that 'everything was now done'. I don't want to start pestering CO so my question is.... Does anyone know what process my application will be going through now? What I mean is will it just be sat in a queue waiting for grant or will the case officer have further checks to do? I have read that medicals are generally the last stage in the process, so I'm clinging on to the possibility that between May- November my CO would have had a look at our application and decided that it was suitable to proceed to health assessment. Then again, I may just be clinging on to any little bit of hope that appears in my head. Our case is quite straight forward so here's hoping! Good luck to you all and this forum is really good for my anxiety!
  4. Good luck to you all. This is without doubt, the most frustrating, exciting, emotional thing we've ever done! Applied 10th May 2015, Partner Visa (309/100) , CO Assigned 20th June 2015. Medicals/ Police Check completed 28th November. Fingers crossed!
  5. Hi Everyone, I appreciate there will probably be information on this already here, but with the ever changing immigration situation, just thought i'd try and get some upto date info. I am an Aus PR, living in the UK. In May 2015, we applied for a Partner Visa for my wife and six year old daughter. Chances are, the Partner Visa will only be granted between March- July 2016 due to UK processing times. Our case is very straightforward, with no complications and we should be eligible for the permanent visa. We are considering applying for a 12 month visitor visa for my wife to allow us to travel out to Oz sooner, so that I can commence work etc. I'm aware that we should notify our case officer of this. My question is.......... Can my daughter go on the same visitor visa as my wife? Is it still the case that my wife/ daughter would need to be outside Australia when the visa is granted? Has anyone else done this recently? Any thoughts/ views would be great!
  6. Thanks for the reply. I've just been granted a RRV with 12 months to return.
  7. Hi Everyone, I'm in the process of applying for a partner visa. I live in the UK and have been married for 9 years. My partner is an Australian PR. To be really frank, the Australian Immigration Service has left me really confused. The Australian High Commission in London Website, states that you should apply using paper copies/ via post. I have contacted the European helpline, who informed me that the preferred option is for me to apply online. Can anyone assist with which method I can use? Anyone applied online from the UK recently? Also, should I complete police checks/ medicals now to try and save time? We have a 5 year old daughter, so inevitable that we are going to be asked to do both. Anyone applied for a partner visa recently who can advise on processing times? Do you think I will be eligible to bypass the temporary visa and go straight for the permanent? Thanks a lot and look forward to reading your responses. 'This time next year'
