  1. I forgot to add for those wondering about the police check/medical exam validity if you have done this before you sent in your application - I have done my UK police check beforehand and this was issued on 5 Jan 2015. The immigration office appears to have extended the date I need to first enter by to 5 April 2016, so extended by 3 months. It doesn't really matter for me as we are leaving on 18 December but I thought it might be helpful to some of you. Good luck again.
  2. Hello! I have just received the visa grant email! And still under 9 months ( by 2 days!), the London office must be on the roll! Good luck everyone still waiting, its a long painful wait but the feeling once you get is fantastic. I don't know how I would have gone through this period without this forum!!!
  3. Oh dear, thats almost 11 months! Maybe do email to give them a nudge? Can I ask who is your CO? Mine is RN and working part-time which probably does not help things........
  4. Congratulations to all the recent grants! Though it is quite nerve wracking when you see people who applied few weeks after you getting grants and nothing yet for me! (applied on 19 Feb!!!)
  5. Congratulations to all of you who got grants in the last couple of weeks! Must be a huge relief! I noticed on another forum that someone who submitted their application (straight forward case) 10 Feb got their grant last Friday, we have submitted about 8 days later.... I am really getting hopeful now! I keep checking my emails like every hour like a crazy person... (I bet with my luck I get it on the 10 month mark exactly...) :nah: Good luck to all waiting!!
  6. Hello again! I have been a bit quiet over the last few months but did check on here regularly. My CO is also RN. I can't really complain, she has been good in coming back to me when needed. In terms of my update on dates: Applied 309/100: 19/02/2015 CO appointed (RN): 12/03/2015 UK police check: 05/01/2015 (submitted with appl) AUS police check: 20/05/2015 Medical check submitted: 24/08/2015 And now waiting! The 10 month mark for me would be 19 Dec and we are planning to leave for Australia that day. As it is Saturday I am hoping I will get my grant in that week before (at the latest). But I have just applied for e-visitor now just in case - Snifter - great minds think alike!
  7. Ha, just noticed RN in the subject line of the email. I guess I got the full initials of the CO after all Anyone has got RN as their CO?
  8. I have FINALLY received the email from my CO - although, I don't even have the full initials, only first name - R (working part time)... weird.
  9. Hello! I am new to this forum and so glad I've found it! Anyone submitted in February? We submitted de-facto application on 17 Feb and they have promptly charged the visa fee on the 19th. Not heard from them since! I guess a long wait ahead but do hope they stick to 10 months as we are planning to move in October and me on visitor visa not able to work which I hope will not drag for longer than end of the year! We tried to apply online but found the system quite challenging - for example there was a question asking whether I would be ok for the immigration office to contact me by email/fax so I said yes and input my email address. But then it wanted a fax number also (who uses fax these days lol?) and would not let me progress to the next stage of the application. And I think there were a few more quirks like that so we gave up and submitted the old fashioned paper application (1.1kg lol!) Has anyone else encountered similar issues? Good luck everyone who's waiting.
