  1. YAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!!!! Visa 309 granted!!! So, so, so happy!!!! Just rang my husband in Melbourne and woke him up screaming down the phone, but he was just as happy so think I can be forgiven for that one!! ;-) Finally, after this long wait I can be properly reunited with my better half. :jiggy: Hope those still waiting get some good news soon
  2. I think this is the toughest bit as it could be literally any day! well you are only three days behind me so fingers crossed, should be any time now :-)
  3. What's happened?? There seemed to be a big rush of grants and now gone quiet again. Any more June grants today? I've been obsessively checking my email about fifty time a day! :frown:
  4. getting reeeeaaaally excited now as you guys are only a week ahead of me!!!! Congratulations on the grants
  5. Hi JonnoM. My CO is VF...good to see there are a few June applicants on here :-)...let the countdown commence I say!!! :jiggy: Thank God for this forum or I'd probably have gone insane by now!!!
  6. Congratulations to everyone who got their visas today!!! Finally, now it's June's turn!!!
  7. Congratulations!! You must be so pleased :-) best of luck with the future. Let's hope it will be the June people now - 8 months for us today! :-)
  8. Hi Josh! Don't know if this is helpful or not, but I've found if you contact your CO by replying to an email they've sent you (which just comes up as general Family Migration address etc) it seems to go directly to them. It must have been a while ago as I applied in June and never had a direct email address. Hope that helps! :-)
  9. lol! That's true and it's good to make the most of the time, but it doesn't make the waiting any less frustrating! I think Melbourne is the best city in the world, it is just such an amazing place and so different from London. My husband grew up South of the city by the beach but is living in Eastern suburbs at the moment. Bet you're counting the days - I know I am! Fingers crossed for visa grants soon :-D
  10. Absolutely!! It's just knowing you're so close after such a long wait isn't it, at least it's weeks rather than months now :-D - heading to Melbourne What about you?
  11. Hello! I also applied in June...application lodged 24/06/14 CO allocated 13/07/14. Not heard from her since beginning of November, but it looks like the May ones are going through so hopefully the June ones in the next few weeks :-)
  12. Yep. Absolutely everybody. All the time. For the past 8 months. Same for husband in Melbourne - drives us both crazy! But then I guess they only mean well! Definitely feeling your frustration though! :arghh:
  13. Haha! I think we all are..I'm a couple of weeks off of the eight month mark and have been checking my email religiously since November just in case they decided to randomly grant it early! :jiggy: Can only be a few more days for you now :-)
  14. Hi, I was asking the same thing, about whether you could go out on a tourist visa and quite a few people answered saying you can...might be worth waiting until you get your email to say they've got what they need to process, if you haven't received it already :-)
  15. Thank you all. These answers have been really helpful as this process can be quite tricky to get your head around!
  16. Has anyone travelled to Oz on a tourist visa to wait for their grant? Been told I can travel to oz on an appropriate visa and exit country when spouse visa is ready...just confused as to whether tourist visa is ok. Been apart from husband for over a year so desperate to get out there, but not sure it's worth quitting my job early as so close to the 9 month mark!!
  17. congratulations!! Do you mind me asking when you applied? Did it take the full 9 months?
  18. Hi, I've also been keeping track of posts, but just joined! My husband has been back in Oz for a year - we applied when it was still only nine months processing (CO assigned on the 13th July) but as we had a hold up putting the application in, it has been a long wait and still waiting!!! It's really hard - you just have to take it one day at a time and not get too obsessed with checking email :-). We were told in November that it was being processed but the CO has asked us not to contact her to ask about processing times - fair enough as she must have a lot of them! Has anyone had it come through earlier than expected??
