  1. How exciting!! Certainly be a climate shock going then! Im hoping to pop over in November so hubby and daughter can validate their visas as their Medicals will run out prior to us going x hoping visa is approved before then as November works well for us as I have 3 weeks off! How's the house selling going? We are putting ours on in the new year as historically the houses on our street sell really fast, our neighbours sold in 4 days in March, most sell within a month of going on. I don't want to put friends and family out too much if we have to stay with them! [emoji85] Enjoy all the planning and keep us updated! I'm sure you will hear from us all shouting for joy when ours get approved! [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. @QPRMARK and I have a similar time frame but I think mine will take a little longer as we have been delayed getting the non migrating medical [emoji85] for my step son. It's been done today so fingers crossed once that has been received they should have everything they need! We are 4 months in now. @CelinaOz you were so lucky!! I will be happy if we get ours by September! Our moving date is 1st July next year so we are now all excitedly saying we move in less than a year!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi We used spire, little Aston it's lovely. My husband and 9 year old daughter had theirs in March and now my 15year old non migrating step son is having his on Monday (had to wait for him to agree to it and get a new passport!!). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I haven't had ours witnessed and it's not been asked for. I've given them contact details for people to verify on the application. They haven't asked for anything x Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. All of ours were just scanned original Copies. I haven't uploaded witness statements as we have a 9 year old daughter and have had a mortgage together for 9 years and married for 7 years (together 12) so I don't think they will need witness verification. If they want more from you the CO will ask x Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. We applied 10/3 and I've sort of got October in mind for our grant so hopefully it all works out! We can't go until next year anyway so it's not really time critical I just want to know we have it! We have a spanner in the works at the minute as we have to try and get a non-migrating dependent medical for my step-son who is 15. He's 'thinking about it' apparently! So we are hoping he will actually agree to it so we can get it sorted! Good luck with police checks and Medicals x Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It all depends on your CO really. Just had a 3 month visa on here but others are taking around 6-7 months and some are 11 months in even with straight forward ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. @snifter thank you for your reply x we have messaged him and his mother via Facebook and at least asked so we can go to the CO and say we've at least asked! It's frustrating as we don't have a direct email with our CO they email us on the family migration email which says do not reply to! So the only contact we can make us by ringing immigration! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Angela we applied 10/3 and we have only had a our CO just over a week. It was a 10 week wait xx it's horrible waiting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Does anyone have any experience with non-migrating children???!!!! We have just been contacted by our CO requesting my husbands son who is 15 and doesn't live with us to have a medical. Not sure what to do as we have a very strained relationship and haven't seen him in 18 months. He would point blank refuse to a medical and so would his mother! It's only just come through and we don't have direct contact with our CO so will have to ring dept of immigration on Monday to ask! I'm really worried this could impact on our visa now! 11. I'm in shock for you and excited at the same time hoping a few of us get quick results!!! Well done there was obviously no disputing it! Who was your CO? We have someone called V. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Holy moly! Omg! That's fantastic! Amazing news congratulations!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. We aren't in any rush either but like you say it makes it feel real when you know someone is on your case!! Congrats on the baby! Exciting/busy times ahead! We got Medicals and police checks out the way quickly as, my husband wasn't a bit of monkey in his youth n I was worried sick something would come up on his police check! It didn't! Phew! Also our daughter who is 9 was very stressed about the medical so just wanted to get it done so she didn't continue to freak out about it!! Even found google searches about them on her iPad bless her!!
  14. As soon as I typed that message I realised it was you! Lol x exciting! Hopefully we are not too far behind on getting a CO. Have you submitted your Medicals/police checks already? I can't remember if you said!
  15. Just re read info and yes he probably will have to nip over at the start of the year as otherwise the health checks will be out of date! Not an issue really I think I had my head round it the wrong way as originally we planned to move in January!
  16. No, you have 12 months to validate the visa once it is issued. I don't expect it to be issued before July this year, hence our timing for applying. If for any reason we had to my husband would go ahead to validate it but I don't foresee that issue xx
  17. Fortitude valley is fab, I love south bank area too. I will be living on north side of Brisbane which is a 45 min drive to the Gold Coast so easily accessible x I'm just planning on a pool in Brisbane! It's crazy but in the 10 years I lived there I didn't visit any other states! Life was just so busy and never happened but I will be making sure it does when I move!
  18. Out of interest where are we all moving to? I'm heading to Brisbane, QLD. I grew up in rural QLD but I have family and friends all over Brisbane and QLD so going back to where I know and love x Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm sure it will x we are lucky property wise too we live in a highly desired street as a fantastic primary school is literally round the corner, the 3 houses next to ours have sold super quickly recently and ours has many more features so I'm not worried! Moving kids (and the dog) is a huge task! Not sure how my parents did it in the early 90's with no internet! Although they say ignorance is bliss [emoji23] My biggest issue is my lack of patience in waiting! I hate it!!
  20. I hope that all goes well for you! I wish we had a time scale that short! Our house won't go on the market till the end of this year as we have to wait for me to finish my degree in December, then I have to work here 3 months full time before applying for my Aussie registration. So based on that and kids doing GCSE's our earliest fly out date would be 1st July next year! It seems an eternity away and I just want to be back in Oz now! After years of refusing to return due to my past relationship, one trip in December 2014 changed my mind and all I've wanted to do since is go back! Hoping 3 years in planning will be all worth it x
  21. @CelinaOz we wanted to get out for the new school year but as middle son is doing GCSE's we need to wait till he's finished them really. How old are your children? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
