  1. One week since I applied for the visa. Nearly all docs now uploaded, including the awful form 80! Only degree transcript to go as discovered I stupidly sent original to AITSL so have requested another. Medicals booked for Wednesday and police certificate forms sent off today! Phew, now I can breathe. What has everyone else been up to?
  2. Hi, I'm uploading my documents to my application but unsure about this: Did everyone upload both degree and PGCE certificates for proof of education? Did you also upload transcripts for one/both or just the certificate?
  3. Thanks vandeux. That's good, as I'm not claiming points for that.
  4. Hi coolbreeze, do you have to send these employment docs because you are claiming points for experience?
  5. DK2014 I was applying under secondary teacher and I had 65 points.
  6. Invited to apply and lodged visa today! Very excited. Anyone else invited today?
  7. If you have studied in this country you don't need to prove English language skills with anything but your passport for AITSL. You can take the IELTS test for points after having sent your AITSL application. The two things are separate.
  8. I got approved by AITSL today! And lodged my EOI. Excited for Sunday to see if we get invited.
  9. You don't need to submit IELTS to AITSL at all if your degree was completed in an a English speaking country, e.g UK, USA etc. was it?
  10. Lots of great info on this thread already. I wonder if anyone can put my mind at rest about something: my degree is in a different subject to my PGCE (journalism and then English and drama). Has anyone else who has been accepted by AITSL got different subjects like this?
  11. I got my writing re-marked and it increased from 7.5 to 9. So if you're confident that you deserved better (I'd done loads of practice, looked at loads of exemplars and knew I'd done everything) get it re-marked.
  12. Noticed there's a few teachers on this thread so thought I'd say hi even though we're still just waiting to hear from AITSL. I'm looking to register in NSW As well.
  13. Also, you don't need to pay for any practice tests. Just google and you will find.
  14. There's lots of help online and on you tube. You need to structure your writing in a particular way and also use a wide range of vocabulary (this is also true for speaking).
  15. That all sounds fantastic. What a wonderful update. Do you know if a low income mortgage is a Perth thing or if it's common in Australia? How much do you need to earn?
