Hey guys - just a wee update from me - Good news - arrived in Australia on the 24th April on a tourist visa and my CO sent the email saying my visa was ready to be granted the next day. My partner and I had planned to head to New Zealand anyway for a holiday to activate it so have brought our plans forward and will be heading in the next few days. It took less than 8 months too! My CO was VF. We applied mid sept - hope that means others after that will be soon to follow! Woohoo - job applications here i come! Rita

just a thought - but you can through some airlines book flights where they permit you a certain number of changes - so if you book them for a time and it has not been granted (give the notice period they require) you could transfer them to another date!

Just a wee update peeps! We finally recieved our CO on the 23 October - thankgod - sorry meant to post up but was away on hols for a few days. Date given for health checks is the 16 December and they requested my long birth certificate (which i had to order - waiting on it now) and a copy of my partners UK visa. Do feel much better now the ball is at least rolling abit and hopefully these small requests mean all the other application stuff was fine! ;o)

Hey Guys we may all wait together - our application for partner 309/100 was received by London on the 13 September and still no CO assigned. I called last week and they said they really are very busy and count 9 mths on from the 13th Sept and work towards that date. Patience really is a virtue! My partner is Australian and we have been together heading on 3 years. He is starting his teaching in March next year. I know it might be June by the time we get our visa so our plan is he is going out mid feb and i will follow him mid april on a tourist visa. It is so nice to hear others are in the waiting game also!
