i have the same dream here I landed in Brisbane 7 June 2014, with the hope of landing a job fairly quickly as the skills set is a needed criteria here in oz, its not happening! the job market is as flat as a pancake for QS`s

i have registered with these agencies even they do nothing, have the "rights to work in Australia" & still 0

i am being ignored by agencies etc, i have 15+ years of experience as a QS & have registered with every agent in the whole of Australia, applied for many jobs, but still 0, what am i doing wrong? my barrister told me to be humble, i am on my hands & knees with my hands out please help me someone

I looked in the UK for 5 months nothing there either, I have signed up with all the agencies & they ignore me at most, I am maybe going back to the Uk with my tail between my legs & a big fat hole in my pocket after mayebe wasting my money all £12000 coming here & getting 0 return of my hard earned money

I am in the same boat as you my friend, come here with 15 years+ experience as a quantity surveyor, went through the skilled migrant path, was told the skills shortage is here australia needs you, i spent £12000 on getting this golden ticket for PR here in Australia, been here 5 weeks & gues what BIG FAT 0, i have applied, i have phoned, i have begged & pleaded, was told that companies will only take you seriously when you are here on the ground, well here i am & still no one takes me serious, local experience counts here, I have even applied to push trolleys @ the local supermarket

please help me to get a quantity surveyor or contract administrator job anywhere I AM DESPERATE FOR WORK

i been in australia now 5 weeks not even 1 job offer, i applied for hundreds of jobs, made hundreds of phonecalls but these recruiters do nothing to help you, PLEASE HELP ME!

they are a complete joke i ahev been chasing them for many months with these so called job offers / alerts they do nothing to get the jobs for you
