  1. I had kp. When I called, I was originally told that the grant date would be just after Christmas but when I explained I had a job offer on the table and was there anything that could be done to bring my case forward, I was told right there that it could be granted. So, my advice would be to call at the 7 month mark. It cannot hurt anything anyway and good to actually speak with someone instead of getting a generic copy and paste email.
  2. Hey, Have you called your co for a nudge yet? I really do think it helped me. I did have a job offer on the table, which I had advised them about previously also but I think that the call made the difference as my co immediately spoke to his manager and advised me there and then that they would be ready to grant once I exited oz (this was on the day of 7 months since applying). If you explain about tourist visa running out, I think it will help you get granted before.....hopefully. Fingers crossed for you.
  3. Hey everyone, Well, I never thought the day would come but am over the moon to say my visa was granted today! Its such an amazing relief and im hoping it gives all you guys still waiting more hope of hearing soon. I applied on 24th April and KP was my co so took just over 7 months in all. I would also say that I called my co and that definitely seemed to help me get my visa through this week although I can't be sure of that but may be worth a try if you have hit the 7 month mark. Good luck everyone! I'll keep hoping you all hear very soon!
  4. Hi everyone, It has all gone very quiet, hasn't it. I wish that was because I was off enjoying my visa but alas, no. Like cheese please, it's 7 months this weekend but then my co has been away for 6 weeks so figured I would be waiting out the long wait. Fingers crossed that next week is a grant happy week and the ball gets rolling again! Can't wait to post some happy news
  5. So, I just got through to some very nice people at immigration who explained that another co takes on the cases when your co is on holiday. But, does anyone remember seeing anyone on here who has been sent the ready to grant email from anyone other than their case officer?
  6. Anyone else with kp? I finally tried to call him as we've never actually spoken and he's away until 25th November Im assuming this means 100% that we cant be granted until he comes back and presumably he'll have a backlog as he's been away since oct 18th. Does anyone know if anyone else grants whilst they are on annual leave or if it's a wait for their return affair?
  7. hehe, thanks for lightening the mood And you're right, of course. What will be, will be so pass me a sauv blanc!
  8. Hey snifter, I completely understand where you are coming from but please also understand where many of us are coming from. It's great that you planned carefully and were able to remain calm and patient, but hey, I didn't. I'm an emotional, passionate person and I guess I'm using this forum as an outlet for my pent up frustration and also my dark, deep hopes and fears. I know this achieves nothing more than a cathartic release for me and probably others currently in the same position, I know that I should just forget about the application and live my life, I know that I should heed the 8-9 month time frame, I know that there are no guarantees......but hey, 'shoulda', coulda', woulda'. I should have put my life savings on fiorente, but I didn't cos hindsights a wonderfully insightful place to sit and comment from. Yes, it is what it is and my emotions are what they are. So forgive us for venting, hoping and perhaps yes, even forgive us a little desperation but that is the nature of the beast that is this wait that has turned a very normal, pretty well adjusted girl like me into the loon that presents itself here! I promise to return to normal....once the visa is granted...
  9. Hey cheese please, it's so hard isn't it? Feeling so close and yet so far! They have approved an 18th April candidate so we really should be this week or next, right? I know it's not an exact science but if it's a queuing system, then that would seem a sound assumption. Good luck all....
  10. Well done sinnys, fab news for you Have any Aprils heard anymore news? I'm hoping we're very close but it's so hard not knowing. Does anyone know if we receive much advance warning to go offshore I.e. an email saying the visa is ready to grant in 2 weeks or will it simply be an email saying the visa is ready to grant as soon as we go offshore?
  11. Hey Sandy, This is such great news! Good luck in your travels and all the best
  12. Wow, ksarah! That's amazing news. I have everything crossed that us Aprils will all be hearing soon. So exciting. Does anyone know how much advance warning, if any, we receieve when we need to go offshore?
  13. Hello Everyone, My first post on here although I've been watching everyone's progress for the past few months. Well done and congrats to all of you getting your visas this week. I applied 24th April so it's very exciting news to think us April folks could possibly get processed next month. I'm also with KP so would be great to hear from any other KP people that have been granted recently. Good luck everyone!
