Hi, From my side, I'm quite fluent so didn't prepare a lot for IELTS except for the reading/listening of all the examples you find on the website, It's very useful to know in advance which kind of text you wil have to read or listen to and the type of questions. I found that the listening test had a lot of tricky questions, that is, you have to listen carefully and not answer too quickly. Reading was a little easier. Writing was my least good mark but the topics were really boring and not inspiring; for example "write a reclamation letter to an online store because of a wrong shipment - in 150 words" I found it difficult to find 150 words to express what I wanted to write in 2 sentences The speaking was ok but topics were also dull and I felt I was back at school! As the fee and process times are important for this test, it's better to do some preparations. But again, really depends on your level! Success!

Hi, I'm in similar situation, but offshore. MA told that DIAC has asked not to follow up before 8 weeks passed. I'm checking status of visa only with TRN and passport details on https://www.ecom.immi.gov.au/inquiry/query/query.do?action=eVisa I'm not aware of a password? But maybe I'm tracking on the wrong site. Good luck and finger crossed to get news quickly!!

Just got feedback from migration agent: little chance to get approval under 8 weeks

It looks like application for 457 lodged from Australia, are quickly approved. From overseas it takes ages ... I'm waiting since more than 6 weeks
