Afternoon all....Wow Just had the good news...Visa Granted 5 / 5/ 2016 - almost fell off my chair and dropped my coffee Just over 6 months of waiting (26th Oct 2015) Customer Services Manager = Lodged Sydney - Processed Vic Bonkers and pretty happy for sure - Happy days to you all and patience is rewarded

Morning all, the wait continues...Really pleased for all the guys over the last week who got the good news. Still no CO assigned apparently and approaching 190 days I think.... which is a pain. My MA is chasing but still have no idea how cases are assigned. Best wishes all and here is to a good week...

Hi all Just had a chat with my MA as the 6 month point has passed...still no CO assigned apparently. Not a great deal that anybody can do to be honest apart from hang on in there... Lots of things sitting there awaiting the decision, holiday, work travel, etc etc. Just seems to be the luck of the draw and go about your business until the phone rings

Starting to log on a lot more now and its good to see approvals coming through slowly...just looking forward to that day god willing that the approval arrives and I can start planning for the long term. Its pretty painful this waiting game...I am an October nomination and Visa. Best wishes to all out there in the same boat

Hi all, just a quick hello...been waiting since October 15 and not a lot to show for it...Just getting a bit frustrated with the process and finding it difficult to focus and hoping for some positive news soon...I bet I am not the only one, can see quite a few from way back still not across the line. Fingers crossed for all you guys Hopefully with Easter past lets hope that the CO's get back in the groove and things start hotting up.

Oh, that's a blow...a big one. I do know that there is a memorandum in place that will let you do it somehow but its the 457 visa that is the issue...I cant afford to cock up the job or visa...I am only allowed to work for my employer. Do the DIAC have an walk in advice centre at all...I hate calling the call centre!

Hi all...I moved to Victoria with my work last year on a 457 visa and so far so good and very happy. I am from the UK and still an active Army Reservist (on an approved leave of absence) but I am very interested in working with and getting attached to an Australian Reserve Unit...I know there is a mechanism for those on a PR visa...I don't know if it is possible on a 457. I have a lot of practical and operational experience and just want to learn more and keep up to date whilst I am over here. I think it would be a great opportunity, just don't want to cock up my visa by doing it without permission....

Hi all, I am in the same boat as most of you guys. It is probably one of the most frustrating times in my life as I try to function on a day to day basis, keep focused but at the same time still have moments when irrational thoughts and behaviour kick in and I log on again and check...knowing that nothing has changed! I am not a control freak BUT there is nothing we can do and that is sooooooo frustrating, the wheels just don't seem to turn as fast as we need. Yes we understand backlog and workload and all of that, but I am hoping its not just me pulling my hair out! I am lucky in that I have had the nomination approved, CO has been allocated just recently, but it will still take time. I know I have only waited 7 weeks and others much longer but I just wanted to say...Chocolate and lots of it...is a great short term fix! Fingers crossed to all of us! -
Yes, a written theory exam and a 5 day practical but have no idea what that entails...rather her than me...

Hi We are just about to start the process as well. My wife who has been a hygienist for 20 years is quite daunted and has no idea what is required in terms of prep for an exam...most of the practical work she is happy with, but what does the exam entail and what should she be studying? Any help would be gratefully accepted
