Hi my immi login account doesn't say visa granted and I had the email from team 34 Brisbane stating the current delays situation! I assumed that was the case officer as I had the email on 17/3/14... They haven't asked for any additional documents .... I'm very confused !

the Department cannot grant further visas in this category during this programme year. Was part of the message I revived in an email this morning I applied on the 11th of jan .... Long wait I guess ??? Did anybody else revive a similar message ?

At the start of the 8th week since lodging visa today done Medicaid and police checks ...... Still waiting for CO !!!

I lodged my visa on the 11th of jan for Queensland 190 still waiting a case officer I think ! I've uploaded all the docs just a waiting game now .... Not sure how I know when I have a case officer ??

How do you know when you've been assigned a case officer ? Cheers

Yes sorry for wasting your time I hit submit and it said application is already submitted ....... good luck ...... how long does it usually take for a case officer to be assigned ???

Hi thanks for that guys .... Yeah it says in progress and last updated 11/01/14... I've uploaded all the documents since then. Underneath the visa application on the page before the document upload page there is a button that says submit visa and a tick box next to the visa application number? I'm going to tick the box and hit the submit button to see what happens, if nothing happens then I guess its all ok !

Hi I have uploaded all my documents into immi visa login area. I had my medical on Tuesday and results are not there yet. My question is. In the login area there is a bit that says submit visa application do I have to wait for medical results to appear in the login area before pressing submit ? Please help. Thanks again Ollie

Thanks for the reply Sephie. I was a little worried as I turned down a 489 invite and changed my EOI to 190 because I had my improved IELTS results through. Then I thought that there would be no invites for 190 visas because I couldn't see them on the skillselect website. Queensland is where I want to go and the state I'm applying for too. My EOI was for a 489 visa submitted on the 10/12/13 then had an invite on the 16th but edited my EOI to a 190 on the 25/12/13 and I'm still waiting. Cheers

Will there be any invitations for 190 visas in January ? I am wondering because on the skillselect report it says on the 13th and 27th of jan there will be invites for 189 and 489 visas but there is no mention of 190. I was just wondering is this Normal and how often do 190 invites occur ? Thanks again ollie

Hi guys exciting times . I've also submitted my EOI, again sorry to jump in here but I've noticed on skillselect that it looks like they are only inviting 189 visas and 489 visas in January is this true ? As I have just changed my EOI to a 190 visa ?

Hi guys Was just wondering if anybody could help. I had an accident back in June and broke both my patella's I have made a full recovery now but still have metal work in. I was wondering if this will effect my medical for my visa ? regards Ollie

Hi I have received an email from Queensland government asking me to provide evidence of my commitment to live and work there. I was just wondering if anybody else had done this reciently and whether you have any examples of what to include and how to write the letter ? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Ollie

I know the feeling I've just redone the IELTS on the 14/12/13 I need 5 points too for a 190visa . if I don't get 7s in all this time ill just continue with the 489 EOI ..... Good luck .... I should get the results on the 27th!

Hi I have researched the amount of money that is needed to be held by myself in ordered to get a 190 / 489 visa in Queensland. It states that for an applicant +1 other the total value of assets must be Aus $35000 with Aus $ 15000 being cash. It also states that proof is only required for the cash part. I have assets that I could sell to get the aus $35000 but I don't really want to sell my British properties yet. Once I have proven the cash part do you ever need to provide evidence of the rest ? If anybody out there has been through this process I would be very greatfull if you could help kindest regards , ollie

Hi For the sake of the 5 points it would be a lot easier to sit the IELTS if you need to. IELTS cost £131 plus gives you 10 to 20 points.. skills assessment costs $1000 and requires a lot of gathering of evidence and your spouse doesn't have to do one. regards ollie

Hi Poms in oz, I sat the general IELTS exam yesterday just thought I'd share what was covered with you guys. On the writing task - for Task 1 I had to write a letter to my boss at work explaining that after being on a 3 month course abroad I wanted to extend my stay.... Explain benefits of the course? why staying longer will benefit? when you intend returning? - for Task 2 I had to write an essay discussing the importance of family events such as birthdays and weddings? And then discuss the costs of such events ? or something along those lines... hope this helps a little .... regards Ollie
