Hi guys. I know this is a common topic so must have been disussed elsewhere. However, I have searched older threads and can't quite find one with specific answers. What's your recommendation regarding the best company to deal with and what are the timelines? Anything I should look out for. I know some offer fee-free services but will give you a lower exchange rate to make up for the £0 fee. Any suggestions welcome.

Not sure if it does. My assumption is they would prioritise onshore over offshore to reduce the risk of onshore applicants' current visas from running out i.e. if it is about to expire. Regarding timelines mine took exactly 3 months after I submitted all requested docs

They wont contact you unless they have to e.g. if your docs are not in order and they need more. In this case your first contact will be the grant email unless you email them asking progress in which case you then get the delay email

I got mine on a bank holiday when I least expected it. The feeling is undescribable. You will see what I mean when you get yours

Go for it yourself. You will be surprised how easy it is. No need for an agent. I did the whole process myself.

Last night I was on the Singapore website looking for flights in 8 weeks' time. One way economy was £636 and return was £1231. The trend was the same on skyscanner and cheapflights websites. So in this case 1 way half as cheap. Could it be because August is peak summer travel time

mine was lodged 22 Nov 2013 and granted 26 May 2014. 6 months. though wasn't front loaded. So let's hope yours is within the next few weeks. just hang in there mate
