  4. OK so what skills have you got that make you stand above the crowd could you get another position doing any thing in the mean time that might lead into an engineering position, I'm sorry if thats a daft question, its just that my hubby and I have talked about doing anything while we find what we really want, he'll be happy as a pizza delivery man to get him at least moving around looking for local positions? I'll be happy to work any shifts for an agency as long as its nursing.... Would knocking on some doors and offering your self for a free work trial be a possibility as your role is specialist?? Just a few thoughts, really hope your successful soon

Hi Tony, Just a quick question after spotting your thread, we are moving over to Ipswich Brisbane next year and was wondering if you are aware of the opportunities to watch the prem league, or Championship games in the evenings over there? My DH is a Blackpool fan...somebody has too lol and he'd love to be able to see the odd game x Thanks

  10. hi its dom on my mothers account im 14 and ive just recently came back from a visit you brisbane. me my mum and dad and sister went over for 3 weeks to visit some family and we are making to big move in about 7 months time! the flight isnt as bad as you may think, we travelled from manchester airport to abu dabi which we stopped for about 4 hours waiting to be transferred over to our flight. we waited in a five star suite which we were able to get food, hot showers and watch tele and take advantage of the free wifi...lol when you get on the flights make sure you look around and try and spot out any spare seats like 2 seaters or 3 seaters or 4 seaters. i found a 4 seater and was able to sleep atleast 7 hours but that was on the way back! when we landed in singapore to be transferred over to our last 8 hour flight to brisbane australia i found this the hardest part to sleep i watched about twenty films but the time doesnt feel like its going fast at all. the excitement is just rushing around your body! the food is alright unless your in business or first class the food changes from which country you fly out from so lets say abu dabi we got some food that they liked. for example: omelete with spinach! when we flew from manchester the food was like chicked breast and potato. we flew with etihad which when we make the move we hopefully get in business lol hope ive helped you out dom!

  14. Wendy your story was far from boring or depressing... honest, and realistic and I'm sure I'm not alone when I say Thank you for sharing it with us all xxx I love your determination I'm made like that...strong women eh we might get knocked down from time to time (and boy have I too at times!) but we just brush our selves off and crack on! Always something good round the corner I think so and your story shows that too x

  18. Hi Xenon4017 My hubby is currently a AIN here in UK, a health care assistant to be specific...but he's been told that in QLD he will have to complete the Aged Care Cert 3 to get a job as an AIN which is a little unfair as he has an NVQ qualification here and two years experience...does your wife know if thats no longer the case or can he be "working towards it" and still be employed. I'm a registered Medical Nurse although most of my 20 years of experience is around Acute care of older people in a hospital setting, I'm currently a clinical educator but am happy to go back to working on the wards as an RN to begin with when we move over and keep my eyes peeled for positions to apply for, does your wife know if the needs for RN's in aged care in hospitals are as prevalent as AIN? Thanks

  24. Ive found that Nic...it certainly is scary? Can I ask about your job hunting in Brisbane? Have you secured a job or doing that locally when you arrive? I'm a bit nervous of securing a job as so much sacry press about it..I figure nursing agencies if all else fails till I can get there? Thanks
