  1. Thanks @paulhand I read it on one of the forums. I suppose as long as one satisfies the condition it should not be an issue.
  2. Thank you @Marisawright Sorry- I overlooked Pauls message! Noted that it will be 5 years from date it is granted. So that would be additional 2 years to current visa expiry on Feb 2025.
  3. @rammygirl @Marisawright @paulhand Thank you for your comment. May I ask for some further clarification. My current RRV is issued on 5th Feb 2020 and next application date lets say is 31st Dec 2022. In that case, the new 5 year term will be 5 year from 31st Dec 2022. Is my understanding correct? I heard that if the government stopped granting 5 years RRV for applicants who are overseas>=? Many thanks in advance.
  4. Hello Forum Members I would appreciate if someone can throw light on my situation. I already have a 155 RRV that expires on 5th Feb2025. I am currently in Japan and would like to extend the time further if I satisfy the conditions. Below are movement days as per record and I have lived in Australia for total 741 days since my first entry on 31/12/2017. Is my understanding correct that 31/12/2022 would be the last qualifying date to re-apply for 155 RRV to have a further 5 year extension? Thank you in advance.
  5. Thanks for the quick update Paul. I appreciate it. I intend to extend the validity of my RRV as much as possible. If you can advise on how the dates are calculated and if there are any factors that could possibly prevent me from getting extension would be highly helpful. Thanks alot in advance.
  6. Hello Forum Members I hope you are doing fine. I would really appreciate if you can advise me on the below query for RRV. - I was granted 190 class PR while I was overseas in the year 2014 - I moved to Australia in 2018 and lived there from Jan 1st 2018 till Feb 5th,2020 with few days overseas between this duration. - I had applied subclass 155 visa on 28th December 2018 and was granted a 1 year RRV expiring on 28th December 2019 - I had applied for subclass 155 visa and on 1st Feb 2020 and was rejected as I did not finish exact 730 days in Australia. - However, I had re-applied on Feb,5th 2020 and was granted subclass 155 RRV visa expiring on 2 Feb 2025. I am currently overseas from march 2020 and I have not been able to come back due to COVID and other personal circumstances, However, I believe I still satisfy the 730 days in 5 years rule. Is it possible for me to reapply for subclass 155 in order to maximise the duration of visa(i.e from feb 2025 to feb 2026 or later)? Thanks and Best Regards Manish
  7. Dear Lovely Fellow Members, I am a Mechanical Engineer who has migrated to Australia from Japan 4 months back. I am currently looking for work and find it very difficult. Somehow, I did get invited for interview at couple of places but after a few interviews I get rejected due to lack of local experience or very specific requirements of employers. so I am thinking of changing career to being a tradie/sparky. May be the tradie work such as fitter/electrician/plumber might be more stable and has a future here in Australia. I see that a lot of engineering work is unstable, gets outsourced and there is a huge supply of engineers here in Australia. I guess tradie work is always going to stay and can’t be outsourced to India/China so might be good in long term. Would you mind sharing your opinion and how to get in this field? Below are some specific questions 1. For a Mechanical Engineer which would be better field from employment perspective? I feel like HVAC/Refrigeration is very much in demand these days. 2. What is the process to be a tradie/sparky? 3. One of the electrical contractors has shown interest to provide me with pre-apprenticeship. Is it worth it? What would be a good way for me to move ahead? I will really appreciate if you can throw some light on my queries.
  8. Hi Everyone, Due to some reasons i want to upload only the final degree award with my application but i see that many of the members are uploading the academic transcripts as well. The booklet six says : For you to receive these points,a certified copy of your qualifications and or/a certified copy of a notification of your results and a transcript of your academic record (degree, certificate, diploma etc) should be included with your application. Kindly suggest if it would be alright to skip the transcripts. Thanks alot in advance.
  9. Hi Joanna, Thanks for your valuable posts in the forum.Would be glad if you can help me with this. By the way i have 2.8 years of experience and obviously i have not claimed any points in the EOI. In the visa application i still have to state 2.8 years experience along with dates. However, for this question,i should select NO right?:- Has the applicant been employed overseas in their nominated occupation or a closely related occupation at a skilled level immediately before lodging this application? Under this question,if yes is selected there are 3 options 3,5,10 years. I should select NO in this case right? Your opinion would be really helpful. Thanks in advance, Manish

  12. Hello Everyone, I am filling up my EOI and concerned with few questions regarding education. 1.I am suppose to even mention my high school qualification? 2. I hold a diploma and bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Course.Usually a bachelors of Engineering course if of 4 years, because i hold a diploma i got a lateral entry in to second year so it became 3 years for me.So should i mention only bachelors in EOI or both as my bachelors became short because of diploma? Kindly advise thanks in advance.
  13. Hi Bro, So finally what happened about your medicals? Good Luck.
  14. Hi Ali, Thanks alot for the info bro.It was definitely helpful.Would appreciate if you can answer undermentioned questions from your experience. 1.Is the medical report supposed to provided only if requested by the doctor? 2.Could you please provide some more details points which needs to be focussed.I have informed my doc that a report of investigation, prognosis, etc is needed. He has finally agreed and asked me to provide him with structure and theme focus of letter suitable to clear immigration rules. Hence would be grateful if you can provide some more details about the same. Thanks and Regards
  15. Hi AU57EN Thanks alot for your response.I really appreciate it. So finally what happened in your case? Also would appreciate if you can mention what kind of detailed points should be focussed in the medical report ? Thanks again.
  16. Hello everyone, I am a prospective applicant.I had an episode of adolescent crisis several years before during which i was prescribed with mild tranquilizer seroquel 25 mg for about an year.Later my practitioner told me that i dont need any meidications as such. However, just as a supplement he had advised me that i should take 12.5mg of same medication just to boost my perfomance.I had graduated from university in top class grade.Since then i had been working in Japan and still taking 12.5 mg as a supplement. I consulted my doc about the immigration and he simply said i don't need to mention anything during the medical exam as nothing will be detected either in the blood or urine test. However,i have suggested him that it will be fraud and i need to provide with the report. could someone please advise what kind of report is needed and what would be best way to present my case. I am very confused and frustrated. Thank you very much in advance
  17. Hello everyone, I have a query regarding medicals. I was detected for adolescent crisis during a major traumatic incident during my initial university years when i was 19 and since then i have been receiving small doses of anti-psychotic called seroquel. According to my doctor it is not really necessary for me to still consume medicines however he said that he rather prescribes me as a supplement for mind.I am 28 now extremely fit and fine working as an engineer. Any thoughts if these might cause any issues during medical or how i should represent this to panel of docs.? I am also thinking to discuss the same with my doc. Any advices are appreciated. Thanks and Regards
  18. I would be grateful if you can throw the light on my situation.I am really very confused I have following situation 60 points for subclass 189 including work experience 65 point for visa subclass 190 including 5 points for work ex 60 points for 190 subclass without work experience. I have work experience of little over 3 years. 1. My current job- I have all the documents including ref letter, exp letter, tax documents, bank statement etc 2. My previous job –Employment period was 9 months and I only have reference letter and salary certificate. This certificate has a typing error at one digit in date which changes its years to 2010 instead of 2011.Further,that company was very big and on verification I am sure HR wont be able to recall me soon as people keep on changing at such construction companies.During this job I was in head office for project planning during which 5 months salary I had received in bank while I received in cash when at site. In order not to get in to trouble of getting the more evidence for my 1st job , Would it be possible to for 190 with 60 points?without claiming the 5 points of work experience? If so,then do I need to show 3 years of experience for state nomination?? Further with engineers Australia I am thinking of getting skills assessment of 3 years including my previous job as engineer Australia just needs reference letters. Will that be ok? Thanks in advance
  19. Hi dear thanks for your quick response. I am trying to claim work experience for my post of Engineer planning where i was involved in working at project planning at head office and then at the construction site for supervising. My salary was in non taxable bracket as per the Indian standards.I guess the tax office does not need any justification as my employer did not deduct and charge me for any taxes. Regards, Manish
  20. Dear Everyone, I would really appreciate if someone can throw some light on my situation. I am claiming for 3 years of work experience to DIAC.I have a critical issue with claiming my work experience 1. My work experience of 1 company included work in the office and at far of construction site. While I was working in office I got my salary in bank account while when I was in deputed on work site for few months everyone received salary in cash. My salary was below taxable limit so I don’t have any proof. Thus from sep2010 to dec2010 my salary was deposited in bank and from Jan to May it I got in cash at the construction site. 2. My second work experience involves working for a HR employment agency wherein I worked for a client for few months on behalf of that agency. I have employment contracts, reference letters and salary certificate. Again, the bank I closed the account of that bank when I left that country. 3. For the third company where I am working currently I have all the documents present from reference letters to payslips and bank documents. Kindly advise what I should do for the case 1 and 2. Would really appreciate your help. Regards,
