  1. What good news to come home to after bad day at work! ! Well done titan, not sure what camp I fit in to, application in on 22/1/14, all extra docs in by 6/2/14. But either way, it's great to think something moving! Keep us posted. [emoji2]
  2. Here's hoping Joby, keep us posted, you're way ahead of me in the queue!
  3. I've just looked at it Kelly! I'm hopeless with twitter, it confuses me ?! Mine went in just before the new criteria in Feb, but some on POI have been waiting since last year, so hopefully we'll see some movement soon, fingers crossed! ?
  4. I know, it's awful isn't it, that's what I said to Ceridwyn, keep at it, we are all stressed by this, and not to let it keep her from her aim of getting to the UK! I think she was taking out her frustration by telling us all we had little hope of getting registered, we need positivity on here. As for the NMC, under no illusion about their efficiency, and threatening to put up our fees again!! For what?
  5. I think what she was saying was that's how she thinks we view Australians! That's why I put what I did on, as if we would be working so hard to get there if we thought there were any truth in that? So much emotion on here, I see the forum as a way to support each other, not to have us scared silly about our future prospects.
  6. Do you think we'd be working so hard to come and live there, if that's what we thought? ?
  7. We can see it from your side Ceridwyn, we are going through exactly the same stress, I hope you see that? Even to get to the AHPRA stage many of us have been through Medicals, ielts, police clearance checks, and so much more! And some have been waiting in excess of 8 months! But all I'd say to you, is keep at it, if it's what you want, it'll be worth it in the end! I certainly wouldn't tell you everything that could go wrong, In fact I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few lovely Aussie nurses in my job! So it must be possible! Good luck.
  8. I agree, they should refund fees already taken, and in my case, the £7k it's taken to get visas!! As I would not have gone for it, if ANMAC hadn't recognized my skills and the WA govt hadn't said how much they wanted UK nurses!
  9. I'd like to know what that means too? I'm a registered general nurse???
  10. I agree Kelly, maybe we need to draw attention about this somewhere, a wait that was listed as 4 to 6 weeks, taking 8 months! And why not, have a scheme for those who have already been scrutinised by ANMAC, to have a modified AHPRA assessment? So frustrating! ?
  11. Hi Lilmiss, Do you now have your registration? Desperate to hear someone somewhere has got through the new process? Feels like we are all in limbo! All the best.
  12. Hi Shaun, there's plenty of us have had requests, and sent information on the new criteria, we're waiting to hear of anyone actually getting registered, I had a response a couple of weeks after sending my docs, saying application complete, and that my application will now be considered further, that was 3 months ago tomorrow! Arghhh! Hope all goes smoothly for you. All the best!
  13. It's good to hear something is moving! My application was accepted as complete on 6/2/14! AHPRA didn't ask me for it, but asked uni to send confirmation of new criteria, which they did last month, but no news yet! Scary times after how hard we've worked, and the fortune we've paid to get our PR visas! All the best.
  14. I think you're on the right thread titan11, Harby88 posted earlier on this thread, I'm just adding a comment, as have not read much lately about AHPRA registrations, so wondering too, if anyone seeing movement with AHPRA. All the best!
  15. Has anyone heard anything from AHPRA? My application was accepted as complete on 6/2/2014, I then got uni to send more info re criteria 2,3 and 8, which they have! But not heard anything! Has anyone received their LOE since new criteria introduced? The silence is deafening!
  16. ANMAC give you a very specific template of reference expected. In my case, I showed my referees the format needed, and they filled in the blanks. I Submitted two, just to be sure! Hope that helps.
