  1. We have been quoted fairly by Emergico for parts we need help with, has anybody had any dealings with them? Have heard Ian Harrop and Go Matilda are good, anyone had good experience with other agencies that didn't cost the earth!? Any agents to avoid? thanks x
  2. If you are going to apply for a permanent residency visa it may take you until 2015! I would start swatting up for the ielts test now if I were you as I think you will have to do it, Ive been told I have to do it and I am English and have done all my study in the uk. Ive been qualified just over 2 years x
  3. Hi all If i were to email a hospital directly and submit an EOI with them and get an offer of employment. How would this work, what visa would it be? I need a permenent residency visa straight away (so my fiance can apply to QLD police service). Can i gain PR visa this route? Please help im confused as thought my only option was to do the visa myself!
  4. Go onto the immigration visa wizard and see how many points you would get for a visa!
  5. Hi johay0403! How did your hubby get on with the ielts? I am going to book mine soon either for march or april 2013 so i can study with the books that were sent to me off a kind fellow on here
  6. Thanks Pablo! Im hoping it will help and its just gonna be a case of sending documents off to whoever, e.g marriage certs and change of name papers
  7. Hi everyone I am in the extremely early stages of the process, only looking into dates when i can sit the Ielts (I need to for the points!) I am a nurse and hoping i will be able to gain 65 points as i am 30 years old. Anyway my question was my other half is also 30 and a police officer. Would i just put his name on my visa as he needs PR to get into the Oz police or does he have to apply for his own??? We will be married by the time we go but are starting the process off as engaged, how does it work if you get married during the process? Im confused :err: Thanks x
  8. Hi guys I havent actually applied for a visa as yet however I will be looking to having a PR visa as a nurse when I do. Just one question though once a visa is validated and you have 4-5 years for example to make the 'big move' what about if you have a child in that time, do you just fill some forms in to add them onto your visa or do we have to pay for a seperate one???
  9. Well study then!!! Did you study the first time around? Nothing in this life is easy if its worth doing properly!
  10. I think you can take the Ielts more than once. Swot up and take it again maybe???
  11. WAPOL are recruiting from the UK however the applications closed on the 1st October. SAPOL were also recruiting from the UK last year
  12. You would get a great tan
  13. Hi everyone! Looking to start the process in the next 18 months or so, however just wondering.....I am a qualified nurse with 9 months experience to date, I am pondering whether to do my midwifery shortened course (18 months) starting Sept 2013. Is it better to go over with a degree? Is it better to be dual qualified with regards to job prostpects? Could i do a shortened midwifery course in Oz would a hospital second me to do this like they do in the UK?
  14. Haha lots of people with speeding fines on here then? Im the only one out of us who ever logs on

  17. Thanks Ali :cute: I know yeah my friend who is flying out in approx 30 days to emigrate says WA means wait awhile too! We expect to hear something soon as they are coming to London in October and the first half day evaluation is 22nd-26th Oct.
  18. Those Move cubes seem good??? Only 6.20m squared but about £1000 plus shipping cost, could you ise 2 of those to keep costs down?
  19. I will give my Mum time and be patient with her, it's a shame i dont know how to support her more than im already doing e.g. inviting her round for tea (we didnt do this before) suggesting we go to the cinema/dvd nights (we very rarely did this either) as she has a void now my Grandad is gone, she spent alot of her time looking after him. I can see it from her point of view as well and I feel for her i really do but ive got to try and do this. I wouldn't want to uproot just to come for a few years, we intend to make Oz our home in the future as many people probably do. What will be will be :cute: we can only give it a go if we dont we will never know....
  20. You sound like me!!! My other half (the one thats actually applied) he is excited but doesnt seem that bothered so as to not get his hopes up i suppose. He did apply to SAPOL last year and was unsuccessful however there was an ongoing complaint against him hanging over his head which has since been cleared up with nothing on his record so.....
  21. its hard not to think about it though!!! Hope they put us out of our misery soon, waiting is the worst part!
  22. Yeah i can imagine they have had thousands of applicants from the UK and Ireland. 150 isnt alot really but hey ho you meet the criteria so......If you do get in and move what will your wife work as when she arrives in Oz?
  23. Wouldn't bother checking your emails for the afternoon/evening today as they are about 7-8 hours ahead of us, just check tomorrow now. Has your wife applied too? You have got a better chance because you actually meet the criteria they are looking for!!!
