Hi all, Ive recently moved to Newcastle from the U.K with my wife who originally grew up in NSW. Although I am loving the area & enjoying the Aussie lifestyle, I am feeling a little home sick. Therefore I was wondering if there are any Poms in the Newcastle area that know of any activities or clubs worth joining. I'm getting a bit fed up watching TV on my days off lol!!! Thanks, Will

Hi. I am also moving from Brighton to Newcastle NSW next Thursday:-) I used Anglo Pacific to ship 12 boxes & a mountain bike which cost about 450.00GBP + ins I am also shipping a 20kilo box by air with Transglobal.com which cost around 87.00GBP Good luck with your move:-) Will

Hi Nic, I am sure it will be fine, if worst comes to worst, a quick trip to NZ over xmas is on the cards lol. LG did advise me that to expect my visa between mid Dec to Jan & to let her know when my flights are booked, I haven't told her yet that my flights are booked for the 6th Dec as I'm scared she will shout at me haha!! I will notify her mid Nov & if she says that it will not be granted than I will apply for a tourist visa to fill the stop gap at this time. I have been told that once you receive the email advising that ''no more info required at this time'' that your visa has actually been approved it then has to wait in a big pile of others visa's to be linked to your passport & due to the monthly quota, this is what takes the time.........oh well!!! Hi All, Congrats to all that have had there visas granted recently:-) Could you please let me know what AB advises in his email to you. We also applied for the 309 Spouse visa on the 12th June & are planning to fly to Seoul on the 6th Dec, one-way.........we are really hoping that my visa will be granted in the run up to our departure:-) We still have LC as our CO. I submitted 309 application on the 11th July & emailed LG the other day about booking flights, I was advised that my visa would be approved mid Dec to Jan time aswell, but to email her when I have booked my flights so she can try to approve on time.
