  1. Way hay.. Subclass 100 visa granted today... As chuffed as beans.. They're all coming through now for feb/march applicants.. Good luck all..
  2. Hi hails and welcome to the thread... im on a similar timeframe to you & also hoping for some early news!! Have tried to input my details to spreadsheet but my android tablet doesnt seem compatible.. good luck with your application news...
  3. Congratulations snifter... Im hopefully not too far behind! Good luck with it all..
  4. Hi cheesecake12 seems to be a few of us in the same timeframe at the moment, I recently spoke with my CO but forgot to ask on up to date processing times as was so stoked that im being processed for subclass 100!! I dont really want to hassle my CO (DP) who has been really helpful to date and dont want to rock the boat! Fingers crossed it has moved from 8-9 months to 6 months so I can start planning the big off.. good luck
  5. Hi, havent been on in a while but im also a feb applicant.. had medical last week and confirmed with CO today that all is fine (phew!) Just waiting for police check to come back to forward on and then just back to the game! Still not sure whether 100 or 309 to be granted? have you heard anything back as yet??
  6. Assigned our CO today!! had a phone call asking for one piece of info missing on application and emailed with medical& police check dates after 19/5/13.. as expected advised earliest waiting time 8 - 9 months.. seems like a pleasant CO though which always helps.. Happy Days!
  7. I couldnt possibly think of anything else we could have added!! Our 4th 888 form statement came into today too so hopefully a good omen but i'm sure they'll find something.. Our CO has got some reading to do!!
  8. when i say front loaded snifter i meant laden with information to hopefully avoid an additional request for more.. luckily the advice on earlier threads told me not to go lengths of police checks & medicals at this early stage..
  9. Thanks Suzee.. it is a long wait, what makes it more difficult is that a potential employer has sent me 3 job descriptions matching my experience and i cannot apply until visa is granted! frustrating! saying that we havent sold the house as yet so should tie in pretty well by the time i get my visa.. lets keep each other up to date on progress.. Good Luck
  10. Hi Suzee, we will be submitting our application form on monday so the long journey awaits us both!! Just wrapping a few loose ends up before we visit solicitors tomorrow for him to certify our docs etc but one quick question for anyone reading this post, do we need our statements of genuine relationship to be signed by solicitor (or other witness type) as well as our own signature & date? Thanks in advance..
  11. hi marriedanaussie, to be honest we dont have a mass amount of savings behind us and like yourself will rely on the equity tied up in our house following the sale of it, but we plan to for me to get a job prior to leaving the uk rather than finding one out there.. luckily i made some good contacts with water corporation as a civil eng whilst we were in perth last month who were keen for me to obtain my visa first instance. it is difficult to surmise how much you wIll need to take with you, but once you get visa would be an idea to seek a position prior to leaving uk so you would only need to find funds for first few months and moving costs etc..? Again we will probably stay with family when first arriving to secure either a rental or purchase out once settled in to new role. just to let you know an average container to move your goods out here is estimated £4500 but im pretty sure they put a tax on vehicle haulage depending on the value and age of the car so just beware in that case! Yes your right it is a right head ache especially the application process, but if your determined enojugh to do it the rewards are priceless for you & your family.. hope this helps..
  12. hi.. also a newbie who has started the task of going through the subclass 309/100 visa route but may be able to assist with some of your questions? my wife and 2 year old daughter are also dual uk &oz citizens with my wife being my sponsor for the 309/100 visa. from what I gather this visa will entitle you to either a temporary residency then after 2 years reapply for permanent residency if the relationship is new or not over 2 years (marriage or defacto) or as your situation is that you have married for 6.5years you may be immediately granted a permamnent residency based on the assessment requirements.. (we are hoping for the permamnent res straight away as we have also been married over 5 years)! q1. standard fees for visa if not using a migration agent is £1800 plus med fees around £270 and police checks £40.. if you use a migration agent you can expect to pay over £3000 excluding medicals for them to process information you need to supply them for every question anyway! ( we have just completed the forms ourselves which was relatively straight forward) Q2. Once submitted with a case officer allocated to you, based on all info is sufficient to proceed, latest news is that the waiting times are taking 8-9 months for visa granted. Q3. Think clock starts ticking on 309 once medical and police checks are requested by case officer prior to visa granted (don't hold me to that!) Q.4 once granted temp or permanent there is a duration where you must enter the country by I believe to get your passport stamped but no grace period once visa granted.. Please don't hold me to this info as this is best to my knowledge, but shouldn't be far off the mark.. Let me know how you get on..? We are hoping for grant by October this year with an early 2014 move to Perth.. fingers crossed
  13. Well Bluwaterz you have obviously submitted enough evidence to satisfy the CO hence the return of evidence so well on your way to better things.. So Suzee you should also be fine with your stat decs gathered so far.. 8 -9 months for a visa seems an excessive Bluewaterz is this the latest?
  14. Great, thanks for that snifter..we have only got 2 stat decs coming from Oz.! although the opportunity is there for a multitude of oz stat decs if the need arise. but in the eagerness to send off app forms may leave it at that for now with a couple of UK stat decs thrown in for luck.. I'll wait for the police check as you say.. Lets wait & see..!
  15. Hi, I agree a great idea and I'll be submitting my subclass 309/100 in the next few weeks.. just waiting for written statements from our friends in Oz then we're set to proceed for the waiting game! I'm submitting for spouse visa with my wife Anna the sponsor and heading to Perth hopefully on successful acceptance of a direct PR?! Our 2 yr old daughter is one step ahead of me with dual citizenship already so hoping our process is relatively straight forward! may i ask if any of you guys added any further written statements from family & friends in UK other than the written Oz citizen statements (on 888 form) to bulk up the applications supporting documents? as this may be something we can arrange in the meanwhile to strengthen application? one last question.. did anyone send police checks with initial application or is it best wait for CO to advise to proceed.. sorry for all the questions, but nothing better than asking members who have been through the gruelling task of visa app..! anyway good luck all with your appli
