  4. :biggrin: Hiya all, Just want get our feelers out there for my husband who is a communications engineer and would be looking for work prior to moving to Perth next year. I am a mental health nurse and in process of applying for 457 visa. My Husband is concerned that there will not be any work available for him, putting major doubts in head and driving me mad. If anyone could offer any advice I would be very grateful. My kids and myself are so looking forward to making the move.I say life is too short.x

  6. Hiya Yep he left college at 17 and has been working as a groundsman for 3 seasons.This job is not on skilled list unfortunately.We have spoken about him returning to college and completing a bricklaying course thats what he is interested in,then following us over qualified. Lisa
  7. Hiya Hope you to find the answer for you 2.I think initially we will go down the WhV and then student.Bet you are gutted that he was refused for sponsership visa. Wish I had emigrated few years ago now whilst he was younger,never mind the time is right for us now.How old is your son?mine is 20 and still doesnt know what to do ha.There again did we. Hows it giong out there? We are in the early stages.I am a mental Health Nurse and my husband a communications engineer.We have four children 20,18 and twin boys of 11.Daughter still in education so is able to travel on our visa 457 sponsership.Application for APHRA completed ready to post and cv to be completed for nursing agency.Hopefully will be in OZ this time next year.   10. :biggrin: Hiya All, Just wanted to get some answers from you guys regarding the process of emigrating and cost.We are a family of six,hoping to move to Oz by 2013.I am a mental health nurse and my husband a communications engineer.We have a son of 20,daughter 18 and twin boys of 11,god bless them. I am in the process of sending documents to APHRA and have registered with nursing agency.Hoping to go on 457 visa (sponsered).We have no savings its just giong to be sale of house that will pay for removals,flights and down payment for bond for rental.We hopefully will secure jobs before we leave.In my situation I maybe the one with job at first. The questions we wanted to ask were,how would our situation be to apply for a morgage,and finance for a car.I am 41 my husband 42.With the sponsership we will apply for PR after few months.We have a car but undecided whether to transport over.Any info on car prices we have researched and wanted to know if they really are that expensive.Hope there are lots giong through the same.   11. Hiya, Think these worries are natural. Im a Mental Health Nurse hoping to move over to Oz. In the early stages of registration with APHRA. It is a massive decision to undertake.I am hoping to apply for 457 visa (sponsered).I am married with four children,20,18 and twin boys of 11 all ecxited to go.My husband a communications engineer.We have no savings just from sale of house to undertake this journey.We feel as long as we get jobs to go to its happy days.If there is something in life you want to achive do it,life is too short.   16. :biggrin: Hiya all Hope someone out there would have the info regarding visa type my son sould apply for.We are a family of six hoping to take the plundge,however my son would have to apply for himself as he is 20 and unable to be included on our 457 visa.He works as a groundsman and wants to emigrate with us.

  19. Hiya sam Thanks for getting back.Life is one hell of a roller coaster ride. I have four children,son of 20,daughter aged 18 and twin boys of 11 all are really excited.Ready to apply to Austalian Nursing midwifery Council then send my CV to the nursing agency.Dont know how long the process will take,they will then help with visa application (457).It will be a waiting game then with ielts tests and medicals.My husband is a communications engineer so hopefully he will find a job pretty easy,fingers crossed and toes. Hiya sam just viewed your blog on pomsinoz.My name is lisa, i like you are in the process of undertaking the biggest move we will ever make in our life time.I too am a deep thinker and after much thought have decided that i would like to make the move with my husband and four children to Oz.Hope you dont mind me replying to you as i have experienced sudden loses and have re-evaluated my life.Enough of that now onto exciting adventures. I am a Mental Health Nurse working on an assessment ward in my local area.I have registered with an agency who will send my CV to prospective employers,however got to register with Australian Nursing Council first in order to set the ball rolling.Like you said it is a lot of research to do before undertaking the process of applications.We too are thinking of Brisbane/gold coast,however we will settle where im offered a job. Hope to hear from you soon, i have just registered with pomsinoz as Johns46.
