Secondly, which are the best areas for a family of 4 to live in ? I will be worth for St John in midlands,but was told to steer clear of living in midlans by HR. What's your advise please? Cecilia

Hi, I have been job hunting since January and nothing is coming my way. I'm an ICU nurse,8 years in ITU and 18 years total years in nursing. No joy. Have had assessments with WA,nothing come out of it yet. xx

Sorry for late reply. I have been looking everywhere. I have had an informal chat with a lady from WA health department and she wasn't too promising. Someone recommended private hospitals,but I don't know of any private hospital. Any one knows which private hospital is recruiting please?x

They are employong a pool of Nurses,there's a lady calle Wendy Lee,try contacting her,she seemed positie,only disadvantage being I'm in the UK. Good luck. xx

Registration done last year december with Ahpra,but still no ICU jobs in Western Australia or Melbourne. Any one out there in similar postion and how are you getting on with job hunting please? it seems like there are no ICU Jobs.Any advise. xx:arghh:

Contemplating signing for Rural Worforce agency. I am a nurse and conditions being offered seem perfect i.e full relocation,expenses and bonuses,retention allowance and continuous professional developemnt. I should apparently be prepared to work in rural,regional and Aboriginal communities. Should I be accepting it? Any one with knowledge on these areas please? What are your experiences?:mad: xx

HI ALL, I am a Nurse and currently awaiting registration with AHPRA. I sent my application pack in April ,acknowledged recipt of pack. They also asked me if I am planning to practice in Tasmania, and in order for them to process the application I should tell them who is offering me employment. I have informed them that all prospective employers want me to be registered with AHPRA. Since then ,I haven't heard from them. Any suggestions? Do I keep on emailing them (though no response) or phone them and risk being branded a nuisance? :wideeyed:

My hubby is a Mechanical Engineer with a mining background from Southern Africa. He hasn't practiced as an engineer for 10 years. I am a Nurse,I have been offered a job down under.What are the prospects that he will find a job in this filed please? He has been working in the bank,but would like to get back to Mechanical Engineering. He has a masters in mechanical engieering and an MBA. Any suggestions please?
