  1. As what everyone has said on here, if your case is relatively straight forward, do it yourself. The key is gathering the right documents, this is something your agent can't help so you will still have to do it yourself. When in doubt, you can always seek advice for specific documents your CO might be looking for. Also, this forum is the bomb to gain knowledge around the entire process
  2. Hi all! Like to join the gang. I submitted the application on 15Nov and just for assigned a CO today asking for a number of docs which I had uploaded.. Sigh.. Also for overseas work experience, the CO was asking for tax evidence, contracts and payslips but I wouldn't have payslips or contracts for the last 10 years. Will that be ok? I will probably be able to provide these for the current job though.. Had previously provided reference letters. Anyone had the same request?
  3. Congrats!! Did u wait till CO assignment to get PCC and Health checks?
  4. Hi there, the Singapore police requires a letter from DIAC to proof the reason for certificate of clearance. Any idea where I can get that letter? Also, it seems a lot of people get their visas very quickly, does that mean there is no need to wait for a CO to do medicals and police checks?
  5. Hi all! I just lodged my application. Just wondering if I should book my medicals now or wait till I get assigned a CO? Also, to obtain police clearance, it's said on my local police website that I will need a letter from DIAC. Any idea how I can get that? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!!
  6. Hi Kubby, the skills assessment takes up to 12 weeks to process. They will not inform u when someone has started looking at your case and they will not contact you unless there are missing documents. I know the wait of not knowing where it is going is dreadful but if its been less than 12 weeks, I suggest just to wait.

    Please help

This is absurd! It's pure cruelty to put the dog through the flights again. Lets hope that results are all clear today and your dog would not have to go through any more long journeys.
  8. Hi guys, I have completed filling out the entire application after multiple times of being logged out automatically! I'm at the payment page now but till now, I have not been prompted to upload any documents. Can someone tell me where to upload my supporting certified documents? Is that only available after I have paid and submitted the application? Thanks a million!!
  9. Is there a need to send the hard copies to immigration or simply online scans will do?
  10. Hi Ali, I'm not sure if you will be able to work without a working visa. You could apply for a working holiday visa if you are under 30yrs old.
  11. Hi guys I'm hoping someone can help.. Do I need to get clearance from the UK if I worked there for a year within the last 10 years?

  14. I got an invitation on 189!!!! Yay! I've got 60 points and lodged on 5 July. Good luck everyone!!
  15. Hi Sully, I have not linked my EOI to my SS. I only applied for SS after I put in my EOI. Reason why I have not linked the EOI is because the 189 gives me more option as to where I can take a job in Australia.
  16. I am waiting for 189 visa invite with 60 points.. I have also received a successful state nomination so will have the option to go with 190 if I link my EOI. Just thought ill wait and see if I get an invite.

  18. Thank you all so much for your responses!! It's good to know that I do have a little bit of time to plan for my move. As for Visa 190 with state sponsorship, it says on the nomination approval that I will be contacted every 6 mths to prove that I have resided in Victoria for 2 years. Does that have to be consecutive 2 years? And can it also be during the final 2 years?
  19. Hi there, I would like to get some clarity around the requirement to have stayed in Australia at least 2 out of 5 years before a Return Resident Visa can be granted for another 5 years. Is the 2 years cumulative? Or must it be consecutive? How will this be different for 190 visa? Can I choose to move after 3 years of visa grant and stay there for 2 years? Hope someone is able to help answer the above because it will help in planning of logistics and jobs for move. Thanks!!!
