  4. We had an issue towards the end of the lease where the owner had arrived back in Oz but was staying out of the area. Between 6.30pm and 7pm the same night the son called in excess of 20 times asking for his father. Evidently the owner (father) had redirected his mobile number to that of the house. At 8pm that same night, owner shows up on doorstep asking for his mail. I wrote to the agents and outlined peace and quite of the lease agreement and that the owner had no right to call un announced. The agent said I was making a fuss, he only wanted his mail. The same mail the agent had been collecting. From that moment I felt we were being watched and a few days later moved in with friends. The agent stopped talking to us! Seems the lease agreement isnt worth the paper its written on for some agents. I wont mention this independent one either. But shes got a serious rep with other agents and it isnt a good one. If I saw the house of my dreams and it was listed with her, Id walk away rather than deal with her. And I certainly wouldn't recommend her either.
  5. Well if I was letting my home and I had expensive linen, I'd nip to Kmart!! I was sleeping on bed pillows that were stained (brown sweat stains) and had blood over the top throw! I mean, not the most hygienic of people!! Will keep you updated.
  6. Well, they reckon this 'sheet' cost $100 to replace. Thanks all for the replies. Hubs will put together an e mail for agent tomorrow and then we'll see what happens
  7. I've just got the photo's I took of the bedlinen (which incidently is referred to as a sheet so I dont know if she means a duvet or a sheet) and put it alongside the photos from the original PI report and there is absolutely no photographic difference in colour. I just haven't folded mine the way she has :-)
  8. Hi Ali (early bird like me lol) yes, we are seeking advice on this. Obviously, because the tenancy is now over and the landlord has moved back in to his property, it appears the Agent doesn't like the hassle. I just dont see how she can take images before we moved in PC report, but not take images after we moved out and then when highlighted to the alleged damage, didn't go and take photos straight away. Cheers.
  9. I mentioned this among a post I wrote earlier this week, but was hoping an actual PA may be able to offer some advice on this. We are in Perth WA and had a furnished rental while or stuff arrived from uk. When I say furnished, I literally mean the owners (they went overseas for 6 months) practically packed a suitcase and left. There were loads of personal nik naks left. I kept the house immaculate. I did! It was cleaner when we moved out then when we moved in! So, we get professional cleaner in to clean oven, shower, all wet areas as instructed. I spend 2 days (we moved out to a friends to enable me to clean thoroughly) cleaning everything. Seriously, I have photos to show before and after! Lease ended 31st October. Wednesday. Owners move back in to property 1st November. Thursday pm so PA could do final bond inspection. A plant was replaced as it was in a porch we never used and it died. Last week, hubs contacted PA to ask when bond was to be returned. He gets an e mail to say damage had been done to a fry pan (scratched tefal coating and burned base) and bed linen had been washed with dark items and was charcol grey. (There was a rose bush query but agent has retracted that) Now, I am anal about washing whites, medium and dark colours and also bedding. This bedding was light grey and white stripe. I NEVER washed it with anything dark. In fact, on the last day of lease I went around and photographed all rooms in their clean state, including the linen cupboard, which fortunately captured said bed linen. So, we queried alleged damage and requested photos because I dont see why we should just hand over cash without proof. Agent hasn't even taken photos and is arranging to call round to house next week to take them. WHAT! Nearly 4 weeks of owners being back in the house, using bed linen, using fry pan. How on earth is this acceptable evidence that we have so say damaged property? Any advice would be greatly received.
  10. I am, very. Lots of super hard work as it's just me on my own. I design and stitch all in house. Love my work. xx
  11. Yep with 3 week old photos no doubt on return of owner whose used them!
  12. Thanks Caramac. It seems the agent doesn't/didnt organize photos of said damage so is arranging to go round next week. Nearly 4 weeks after we vacated and 4 weeks of them using said frypan!!
  13. They should go to Uk. Bradford seems to be a great place to start! Uk lets anyone in!
  14. Update! So hubs writes a letter to agent saying we will be happy to settle the alleged damage to said rose bush, sheet and frypan when agent produces photos of said damage. Agents reply today, I will organize photographs next week. Now, does this mean she is going to go round to the property and take images of alleged damaged items 3 WEEKS after we vacated. 3 weeks of owners using the said frypan and bedding? I would assume she had already taken photographic evidence of alleged damage at final inspection? If this is not the case and it is the original speculation, surely she cant get away with this? Incidently, I happen to have an image of the bedding on my camera as it was stored in her linen cupboard the day we vacated!
