Hello, So in 10 weeks my family and I are going to be moving to Canberra on a 457 visa. Just waiting for it to go through got a couple of questions 1. What is the best way to get a rental in canberra from overseas. my boss said she would go look at rentals for us but we dont know if tat would help or not. We need at least a 2-3 bedroom house or apartment as we have 2 children. 2. We are non denominational christian. Does anyone know of a good church that is spirit filled and has a good childrens program 3. if we fly into sydney becuase it is cheaper is there a train we could take to canberra? I have heard there was but I am not sure. 4. How decent are prices for clothing? WE live in Mauritius where there is no winter lol. well not really. ( I am from the states so I am used to the cold. ) Is there a walmart, kmart, target? anything like that? Sorry about the random questions! Just lots to think about! thanks! :wink::goofy::tongue:

Ok thanks so much! I was worried that the visa would not be granted without renewing them. I am actually from Mauritius though. I am sure it would be difficult also as it is to do for the UK.

Hello, so I am in the middle of processing my 457 visa for my family including our 2 children. Their passport expire in September of 2013. does anyone know anything about this? Will I have to get them renewed before we get our visa? Please help!

OMG OMG~~~ I just got my formal job offer!!! Holy cow!!! I am so excited, nervous, scared,over the moon, and mostly in Shock. I was supposed to have a video interview the director come online was talking to me and asking me a few questions and then said, OK. Let me get to the point, I would love to offer you a place here..... Will you accept!!!!! No Video interview!!! Just a chat on Facebook.. OMG! I am moving to Australia in 12 weeks... OMG OMG OMG.... :biggrin::tongue::swoon::cool::huh:

OMG I had to tell someone! I just finished my second interview for my job in Canberra and It went well! They want to offer me the job! I have one more final interview and if all goes well I get the sponsorship! WOOHOO! ! God is soo good!!! Next its time to process the visa. Question. I am going to a childcare position on a 457 visa. I have my AAS and my BS in Early Childhood Education. Will I be asked for a background check? I am from the US and i know it takes time to get it. Soo excited right now!!! :biggrin::tongue::goofy:
