  1. Mine me did the same y'day too. Hopefully it means something good, fingers crossed!!
  2. I'm just waiting on the referred medical results being cleared. Have no idea how long that might take
  3. Love it love it love it!! It's great, look forward to it every year. Enjoy watching people seeing it all with fresh new eyes. The revisited ones are better, although the original episode is the first 3/4 of the program. Will watch it on iplayer later.
  4. Anyone who had medicals referred in October or November had them processed and finalised yet? Thanks
  5. Hi, Does anyone know how long the current processing time is for medicals referred to the MOC? Thanks
  6. Medical Officerof the Commonwealth. It's a doctor who will look at the medical results and assess whether there is to be a likely cost to Australia if the applicant was to immigrate. Basically if the medical is graded a B, they make the decision on whether to clear it.
  7. You're probably better off reposting this as a new thread!
  8. Depends who you see and how busy they are but usually need to book about a week ahead. Might be able to get in in a few days. Will also depend on how many of you there are in your family. The bigger the family the longer the appointment time they'll need to have space for.
  9. Thanks for your responses. C/O confirmed today that the medical has been referred to MOC. Hopefully they have cleared their backlog.
  10. Hi all, We had our medicals y'day and the 'organise your health examinations' link has now been replaced with ' No health examinations are required for this person for this visa subclass based on the information provided to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.'. One of my children was graded a' B' due to a pre-existing condition. We were expecting a referral to the MOC. Does anyone know whether this means all the medicals have cleared or whether the system is simply registering that we have had our health assessments? Thanks, any experiences much apppreciated.
  11. Hey, thanks for your responses. Yeah job situation isn't easy at the moment so will have to see what happens. Sorry for hijacking your thread Kimorjack. Look forward to hearing more about the S.C from you!

    Hap id

If it's an online application, you should have a link which says 'organise health assessments' (or something along those lines). Click on that and it will take you through the process and generate a referral letter with your HAP ID. Not sure what you do if it's a paper application.
  13. Hiya, Thanks for sharing! Great posts! We're possibly considering the S.C too so it's great to hear your experiences. Hubby might be looking at a job in the S.C but we were thinking of living nearer the city and him commuting the other way until he found something closer. Does anyone know how long the commute is the other way? Google maps says 1hr 15. Or maybe we'll go for living in the S.C but I'm worried there won't be enough going on. Been to the beaches near there but don't really know too much more. What's the CBD like? I have a mental picture of it being really quiet compared to Brisbane and it's surrounds. I like quiet but don't want to feel isolated. Thanks
  14. So how do you get one? Our application is currently being processed. Do we just tell our case officer we'd like one? How do you pay for it? Thanks
  15. Sorry can't answer your q on SNOL but from what I can see the current wait time for a C/O seems to be within 3 weeks. Which is great for all who have lodged recently. Fingers crossed for you guys still waiting!!
  16. We got ours today, 9 days after lodgement!! Very exciting!! :jiggy:
  17. If you can afford it, go for it! Otherwise 5 years down the line you'll still be wondering.
  18. Hi, I supplied my yearly tax statements from my accountant. Then they asked for a statement saying I had worked as a dentist. My accountant sent me through a letter saying that I had been working as a self employed dentist and they were happy with that. They did waste my time by a whole month but that's another story. Don't expect anything to move very fast. Javi
  19. Hi, we were invited on 2nd Dec too. Lodged on 2nd Dec too. PCC loaded. Have to wait for CO to be assigned before we do our medicals as we have medical lab & X-rays under 12months old. Not sure if panel doctor can use same results or if new blood tests and X-rays will be required. Don't really think we should be zapped again for no real reason.
  20. Hi all, Could anyone tell me how long it would take to commute from Springfield/Springfield lakes area to Indooroopilly by car at around 7.45/8am? I know the new train line is soon to open but I'd need to use the car. many thanks!!
  21. Brookwater is SW of Brisbane, near Springfield Lakes!
  22. Hiya, We're coming to Brookwater for our 2nd reccie. Just wondering if anyone fancies a meet up for coffee? We hope to be moving out there towards the end of next year. Javi x
  23. Thanks for all the replies. All advice taken on board. Hmmmm am I suited to Australia? That's kind of the point of my post. Trying to figure out the facts and risks and make an informed decision. Asking people who currently live there is part of that process. So thanks for the responses. Much appreciated!!
