Congratulations Columbo. Who was your CO? My paperwork was all completed 5th april(case officer is LG) so I'm hoping to have my visa this week or next. Have flights booked for October 10th and am getting a little nervous...

Does anyone have experience of arranging internal flights for a dog from Sydney or Melbourne quarantine stations to Perth? How much did it cost? We are concerned that there will be no space available for our boy at Perth and he may have to spend his quarantine elsewhere then fly across to us in WA. We need to compare cost of flight against cost of boarding him in the UK (and consider stress of the extra flight too). Would be interested to hear about other's experiences Thanks

Really interested to read your posts. I emailed LG yesteday & received a reply this morning. My application went in at the end of march and I was initially told to expect completion end of August/September. LG told me in her email today to expect completion at the end of September. After reading the recent posts on this thread, I'm now wondering whether to call her with prospective flight dates for the beginning of October...

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but have read through A LOT of the threads & posts...lots of useful info I am applying for defacto spouse visa, all paperwork etc received 28/03/12 (my CO is LG), police check, medical paperwork received 03/04. LG told me to expect completion by end Aug/Sept, I'm just wondering if it is worth emailing/calling to try to get a more concrete date? My parter & I would both really like to be ready to fly as soon as possible after completion of the visa process and want to hand notice in at work etc rather than waiting until September then handing notice and having to wait another 4-6 weeks before we can go. What is people's experience of trying this? Is it worth it or am I just likely to get the same sort of date as an answer? Thanks in advance

Hi Bob, We were planning to travel abroad, so our dog had a rabies injection in December 2010 and the follow up sample which he passed. We then did not go away. C an you tell me, does he need to go through the whole process again, or just the sample and if so does he still have to wait the 6 months after the sample to be freeeee in Aust? (Hope this makes sence) Cheers Bridget
