  4. Hi pswebb Great to hear you've had some communication from the CO at last despite it not being the grant. Our case officer is team 33 Brisbane also and he is brilliant, so I'm sure yours will be too. The grants are flying in now so I'm sure once you've sent all your docs it will be you soon too! We're just waiting on police checks then hopefully all done. Keep us posted
  5. pswebb its the not knowing and the agonising wait thats the killer isn't it. It sounds to me that the first you're gonna hear from them is when you have your grant and lets hope thats tomor morning, you've been patient enough already. I'll be logging on in the morning hoping to see your post!
  6. Thanks pswebb and Kimsdu, I was hoping for that response! Should hopefully get them some time next week as I posted on Weds then I think I've done all I can pswebb I don't understand why you haven't had your grant yet. What does your CO say? You are so patient, I don't think I could be as patient!!
  7. Hey guys, just wondering how long the standard service UK police checks are taking. Says 10 days - has anyone had it back sooner? Don't reckon its worth another £45 each for express service! Thanks
  8. Congratulations Oxber!!!! They're coming in thick and fast now!
  9. CONGRATULATIONS ra2cool!!!!!! That was a lovely surprise for you - this will be the best weekend ever  The September gang are doing extremely well here!!
  10. Wow Many Congratulations KIMSDU, thats awesome news!!!! :ssign19:
  11. Wow, really exciting times ahead then! Wish we could afford a reccie but have decided to just take the plunge and plan to move in Jan if possible!!! Lots to do when/if we get the visa in a short space of time - I like a challenge!! We had our medicals in Manchester on Saturday so fingers crossed thats all fine, got a case officer on Monday and sent off for police checks today so nearly all there!! Are you planning to live in Melbourne itself? We're thinking somewhere along the Mornington Peninsula but depends on jobs etc. Hope you don't mind me asking but where did you finally find your accommodation? Mind you we will be wanting something for about 4 weeks so we can find a rental so a holiday place might be a bit costly for that amount of time!! Will let you know when we get 190. What date do you fly out? If we go before you, I'll keep you posted!! When do you plan to go for good? Feels very real now doesn't it?! Good luck with everything! Selina
  12. CO assigned today woohoo!!! :jiggy: Team 33 Form 80 NOT requested thank goodness. Few more docs to upload then we might be there at last!!
  13. Wow many congratulations Walkwater!!! Way to go!!!!

  15. Hi JBB Was wondering what you were congratulating me on then noticed its shows in my quote that we got CO......we haven't unfortunately!!! Don't know how that got in my quote but its not right but thanks anyway and fingers crossed for us all soon. Had our meds done yesterday, got police checks to send off then pretty much there I think although not done form 80. Are most people doing form 80 just in case? Good luck guys!!
  16. Hi Andy Congratulations on your visa grant! You have made it  OH passed his IELTS first time - thanks so much for the book which helped tremendously. We now also have our Victoria state sponsorship and have submitted our 190 visa application a few weeks ago so just waiting for CO now. Having meds done today so its moving now at long last! Where are you hoping to settle? Good luck with your reccie - let us all know how it goes!
  17. Congratulations SAFA!! Seems September gang are doing rather well - I'm sure some of the August gang have had a longer wait than some of you! Hope mine's soon!!
  18. Only 2 days before us......maybe just maybe.....anyday soon for us!!!! Good luck!
  19. Congratulations Walkwater, that is really quick isn't it!!! Fingers crossed for a grant soon
  20. Hi Mushlet I share your pain with the technical issues - its nuts isn't it!! I have had the same problems as you. I emailed health.strategies.immi.gov.au and told them about the problems I was experiencing. They fixed the link to ehealth and also emailed me my familys health ID's so I could pas onto the medical centre. With regards to the link for checking progress of meds, no-one can seem to help with this but to be honest I don't think that is too much to worry about. When we've done our meds that might work!! Good luck!
  21. Hi Jake max, thanks for your response. Yeah I've heard about the new system but I am referring to the restricted license that you need to work supervised. My OH has his OSTR and would like to get his restricted license before he gets out there so he can start his college course and get a job as supervised electrician Anyone else know how to go about this please? Many thanks
  22. Hi all Has anyone managed to get their restricted license whilst still in the UK? I have read that it can take approx 8 weeks to obtain when you get out there so would be preferable to get it before you go. Anyone know how to go about this please? Thanks
  23. Seriously???? Thats not good! Have you spoken to your employers about the possible move already? We would not be impressed if they did that to us, surely they should contact you to check this is ok first??
