  10. Hi Paul Sorry I was talking about docs for visa, my CO has accepted all my docs as colour scans. Depending on how desperate you are to get your docs to TRA, have you considering sending by courier? It cost less than I thought it was although did it through our agent so maybe they had a special rate? Might be worth considering or even might be worth asking TRA if they will accept a colour scan that has been certified? See how my head goes racing for options all the time!! Been like this since we started! My hair is actually falling out in handfuls now, and I joke not!!!! Keep us posted! Selina
  11. ra2cool - wow is all I can say!! I cannot imagine how that must have been. Puts my own little journey into perspective - it has been plain sailing really in comparison!! Good luck to you, you deserve it!
  12. Great news Paul!! Do you have to post the paperwork or can it be scanned and emailed? Posting can take a while - I even resorted to getting paperwork couriered out in an earlier attempt to beat 1st July deadline! Desperate measures but anything is worth a shot to ease the pain! I am totally with you regarding the frustration - it drives me nuts. I like to know what I'm doing and when so this whole procedure is painful for me. My hubby is much more laid back than me and has the 'it will be what it will be attitude' and doesn't get why I let it stress me out!! I definitely need a chill pill else I'll have had a heart attack before I get there!! And yes this forum is a pure godsend - don't know where I'd be without it! Finally - you said you were getting docs certified - on your email from your CO, didn't it tell you that colour scans were acceptable? I did and it has saved me time and money not having to take it all to solicitors. Check that one. Selina
  13. Day off, perfect, once you've done those things on your list you will feel a bit better, each step ticked off helps, but stay up tonight and make that phonecall to TRA, don't delay! And no talking like that about December 190 Lodged, positive thinking!! I admit I panicked like mad about my meds being referred and very nearly changed a lot of our plans as I just assumed the worst but a couple of days later everything was sorted and actually I felt silly for overreacting but thinkg is we've all invested so much in this whole thing and lets be honest, its a big deal and means a heck of a lot so its going to mess with us emotionally! So, onwards and upwards, another hoop to jump through, so lets jump through it!! And thanks for your good luck wishes! Have a good day off, treat yourself! :em3600:
  14. Hi there We are a family of 4 hoping to come to the same area in January. I heard you can't get the children into schools until you live there - can I ask how you went about getting yours into school already please? Many thanks and I'll be watching for replies about the childcare! Good luck!
  15. Finally submitted our police checks last night so think thats it for paperwork.....unless CO asks for yet more (pswebb u know what I mean!) CO emailed me this morning to say it will be about 'a week or so' before we get an email with the result so fingers crossed they everything they need and this part of the adventure ends positively!!! :cute:
  16. Hi pswebb Its bonkers isn't it. Surely thats what you did the skills test for in the first place??!!! I really feel for you, I know how we felt when we thought my medical was going into referral. But like you say onwards and upwards, don't email TRA, make a phonecall otherwise you can waste weeks just waiting for replies. Take the bull by the horns to get it sorted then your stress will be over. Positive thinking, if you get this sorted as quickly as you possibly can then your xmas adventure might still happen!! My fingers are crossed for you, keep us posted :em3600:
  17. Hi v190 Yes my CO is from Team 33 Brisbane, initials ES I have no complaints whatsoever. Do you have the same CO?
  18. Hi pswebb I'm reading hoping you get sorted. Have you spoken to your CO? Mine is really helpful so I'm sure they will tell you exactly what it is they need from you. Surely this is the last thing for you before your grant! Keep going, almost there!
  19. Many Congratulations Oztastic!!!! So happy for you :jiggy:
  20. Hi pswebb I'm sorry I can't help you with this, but I'm gutted that it wasn't a straight grant for you but the fact that they are asking for more info means they are looking at your case and once you have submitted what they want you WILL get your grant. Try not to worry (says the most stressy person ever!!) but we just have to jump through the hoops in order to get what we want. My CO has been totally brilliant and replies as soon as he reads the message - you have team 33 brisbane also don't you? Not much longer now ..... it will all be worth it
  21. Had a very stressy weekend. Chased up my medicals to be told my husbands and childrens had been cleared but mine had been referred to a medical officer of the commonwealth. I quickly learnt form the thread 'medicals referred for more than 30 days' that this could be an 8-10 week wait. Was totally gutted all weekend. I know deep down there is nothing seriously wrong with me but being so close to getting the visa then this spanner in the works - can you imagine. Hubby and I had a dreadful weekend. We were planning to emmigrate in January so an 8-10 week wait could seriously jeopardise that. However woke this morning to an email saying my medicals had been cleared!!!!!! Can you imagine our elation :jiggy: Totally great start to the day - what a huuuuge relief!! Just police checks to come back now then all done, fingers crossed!!
  22. Hi pswebb Just thought, when my case officer first made contact requesting more documents, they said we had to submit everything within 28 days and if they did not have certain documents by then they would have to make a decision on the visa based on what docs they did have, so they must only have a certain window within which they must grant or decline a visa - surely yours must be due now??!! Fingers crossed!
