  1. Woohoo!!! Application sent 7th Feb Co assigned 16th Feb Medical done 23rd Feb Granted 16th July Five months from when the Co was assigned to the Day! So happy! I'd go tomorrow, but alas we have to wait until October! We had SV, good luck to everyone else!
  2. 15th??? thats like a week from today!!! yay! As we're not in a massive hurry, I'll leave sending an e-mail until the end of the month (if we haven't heard from our CO who is SV). Good luck, let me know when you get yours!
  3. We were told mid July, so not long now! then I can go ahead and start booking things. I've got all my removal quotes and have been penciled in with the cheapest one (Nat Ross), we're aiming to fly out in the first week of October. I'm sending our gear 5 weeks before we leave. We have been together for 10 years, married 6, and have two kids (5&3) How about you?
  4. I sent our Police Certs in with the application, they'll give you 12 months to enter the country from the cert dates. So do those later if you want a longer stay before you head off... otherwise it could hold the application up, cause sometimes they can take a while for them to organise. Clear as mud?
  5. Yep, they'll contact you once they've received your application, then let you know if they need any further information, and then advise you to go ahead with medical, and where. Don't do it before, cause you need a reference number from them to quote to the hospital or medical centre. I've gotta go to bed now, and try not to dream about Centipedes... bloody stupid syfy!!!
  6. Hi there, thought I'd add ours here... Application sent: 7th Feb Money taken: 15th Feb CO contact: 16th Feb Medical: 23rd Feb confirmation everything in order: 14th March Expected approval: Mid July CO: SV
  7. Hi there, I sent our application in by registered mail, and one week later we received phone call & and a follow up e-mail, requesting medical, and new police checks. My hubby had his medical done yesterday, and I sent all requested paperwork back registered mail two days ago. It seems to be quicker than I thought. I didn't think we'd have a case officer for a month or so... good news for us though
  8. Morning everyone! I sent off our Partner visa Application two weeks ago, we've been contacted and requested to get the medical done, which has been booked for this Thursday, am I right in thinking this is the last step? will the visa be issued soon afterwards or is it still a 5 month wait? I'm just so suprised that the medical has been requested so soon. Mind you our application is very straight forward (been together for 10 years, 2 kids, no previous marriages etc). I guess I'd like to know how long after the medical did the visa come through? thanks muchly!
  9. great thread. I've been over this side of the world for nearly 12 years. I came over single & childless, and are heading back with hubby & two kids (5&3). Its all my idea to head home, so I'm very nervous that its the right decision for all of us. In my guts I know the kids will love it. I just hope my hubby does too! we're just at the beginning of the visa process, and am very excited. I've so missed the weather & the seasons of home, I'm sick of the wet summers & the cold dark winters... I feel now, staying home with the kids, that we're indoors most days over here. Its time to give them a taste of the outdoors! woohoo!
