Hi, It was a further copy of the skills assessment and one of our children's birth certificates.

CO contacted us yesterday asking for a couple of extra documents (not forms). Sent them through yesterday so hopefully not too far off now.

We lodged 12 October and front loaded all docs. CO contacted us yesterday asking for a couple more documents which we've uploaded and emailed. Hoping to hear fairly soon.

Ive been flight watching too and we've booked etihad as well for four of us. Edinburgh to Abu Dabi, Abu Dabi to Perth, 4 hour wait in Perth to stretch our legs then Perth to Melbourne. Leave edinburgh 9am, arrive melbourne 11pm local time the following day. Cheapest I've seen in months of looking at different options.

We just used the marriage certificate too. Birth certificate and qualifications were maiden name, then passport etc was married name. Marriage certificate used as evidence of name change.

Hi, our CO has contacted us asking us to submit two additional documents (nothing major). The question is how best to do this? Upload on the website, hit reply to their email and attach the documents, or do both? In addition, any idea how long after receipt of the documents we should hear on the outcome of the application? thanks, Jlew

All being well we're heading at in September. Been a very long road, and lots still to get in place, but looking forward to it.

We got our invitation to apply just short of a month after submitting our EOI and application for state sponsorship. This was for victoria.

After years of trying to be things organised, we submitted our application on 12 October. Medicals completed on 27 October, and just waiting on police check coming back. All docs ready to upload, so then just a waiting game. follower these threads before, so now keen to see how others who applied in the same month are progressing.

We had our medicals on Monday of this week. Family of four. All straight forward and done within 90 minutes.

State sponsorship application made and EOI submitted for Victoria. Appreciate it can take 12 weeks or more, but just wondering what the timescales for receiving a nomination typically are?

thats great, than you! mine is an 1989 Porsche 911, one of the last of the 3.2 Carerras before the 964 hit the roads. Pricing sounds pretty reasonable which is good. Thanks for the offer re the import approval. I'll drop you a line nearer the time.

We've used emirates in the past and they have been excellent. Looks like we'll be flying Singapore for the move flights as they're the best price at the moment for us.

Great to hear its all worked out. We've been planning this for a long time, and its taken a lot if time to get through the skills assessment and get us to the stage of submitting the EOI. Scary stuff. Submitting tomorrow...

thanks - no going totally mad then which is a relief. works out at an extra couple of grand we hadn't budgeted for which is a pain, but not entirely the end of the world.

Oh dear. Thanks for the quick response. Has this always been the case? We've been looking at this for about 4 years or so, so maybe have either missed it at the start, or missed it when it's changed.

Just about to submit our EOI and checking the visa costs. We're a family of 4 consisting of Mum (main applicant), Dad, and two children who are 8 and 11. when I first looked at this I worked out the visa aplication charge as being $3520. I'm now wondering if I should also be budgeting for additional application charges for myself and our two children. Is this correct, or is it simply the $3520 charge as a family unit? Thanks, Jamie

I'm a bit of a car nut and will bringing my classc out with us to Melbourne when we head out next year (it may follow afterwards depending on cost). There look to be a number of racetracks within a reasonable distance and just wondering if track days are as popular in victoria as they are in the UK? Anyone been? Are they held quite often? What sort of prices? thanks, Jamie
