  1. Hi, The perm skilled visa needs you to have 1 year post qualifying experience. I was just asking if its based on no of hours etc... The reason will wont be moving for 2.5 years is because it is going to take us that long to raise the funds lol.
  2. Hi, Apologies if this question has already been asked; I will qualify as an RMN at the end of this year. We plan to come across on a perm skilled visa in approx 2.5 years. BUT.... Jobs are few and far between for mental health nurses in Sussex at the mo. I know I will need at least 1 year post qualifying experience but does that mean you have to be continually employed on a FT basis? Would it be adequate to have worked bank shifts ad hoc for at least a year? Is there a minimum number of practice hours you have to do? Any help appreciated! Thanks
  3. Hi Looking for some general advice, I'm mainly a domestic installation electrician, I do run my own business and employ 14 electricians, when we emigrate, what opportunities are there for someone with this skill set? I do have the practical skills in commercial and industrial but rightly or wrongly I like the domestic side of the business. I am happy to work for someone again but I cannot find realistic wage earnings for this particular area. Which part of Australia would be best to focus on for this particular type of work? Thanks in advance
  4. Thanks for your quick response that is really helpful. We have three children so would be looking to go over on a PR visa. On a State sponsored Visa are there any restrictions? We are getting muddled with all the different types of visas. Would we have to pay for education for example? is state sponsored generally a better option than the usual PR visa? Also; (forgive me if I have missed it in a post) did your OH run his own business in the UK? If he did how did he feel about working for someone else again?
  5. Hi really interested to here how this pans out as Sarah will be a Mental Health Nurse and I am an electrician. I get the impression that by going over on your VISA your OH doesn't have to do the VETASESS assessment and can carry out an assessment in OZ to work as an electrician? Also we are looking at either Adelaide or Brisbane, not sure where would be best for both of our trades? James
