  1. It turns out that there was no need to worry. CO has been in touch and no mention of the photos or police certificate. It seems that they just send back the paperwork they no longer need. I would not worry if this happens to you.
  2. We think it might be due to the police check being so old - I did it last August but then had to delay sending in the application so perhaps I will be asked to do the check again. It was odd that the photos were sent back with no covering note. Will email them on Monday.
  3. Having sent in my offshore spouse visa application in this week, payment was taken on Thursday and on Saturday my passport photos and original police certificate was sent back in the post with no note of explanation. 1 passport photo of myself and my wife were kept but anyone know why the other photos would have been returned since the form 47SP does ask for 4 from the applicant and 2 from their partner?
  4. It is a bit of a nightmare even when I am used to dealing with paperwork throuhg my work as a lawyer. We collected all the documentation and then went through each of the items on the document checklist on the back of the Form 47SP. We put tabs between each set of documents so that we could mark the documents accordingly e.g. continuing relationship evidence, written statements, stat decs. I would not fret since it will be obvious that your application is genuine. We even included football membership cards and gym memberships.
  5. Spouse Visa sent in Monday 12 March 2012 Payment taken Thursday 15 March 2012 Not yet been contacted by CO. Optimistically hoping for visa by end of July otherwise we aim to move to Australia by September (before dark and cold winter days in London!)
  6. That is very kind of you! I should have mentioned that whilst daunted I am looking forward to the move. My wife even more so as London is admittedly somewhat dreary at times. We need more sun!
  7. As someone born and bred in London it is a big step to be contemplating the move down under but you never know what fate has in stall for you such as meeting your soulmate in Sydney! Aiming to send in application this week and starting to plan ahead in far as the big move. Any suggestions would be most welcome be from the best moving company to the best legal recruitment agents.
