  1. Gah I know what you mean, so much to do, so little time, so MUCH stress....
  2. Hi Paul, Grats on your visa first of all!! Exciting times I've been very happy with Jets4Pets so far, no question is too dumb for Sam to answer. Although obviously the proof will be in the outcome I guess! If you check out their facebook page you can see photos of the kennels they use (and a couple of our viscous attack labrador!) Cheers
  3. OMG - wow!!!!!! Calling hubby now to see if he's checked his email lately!! ** edit ** He's emailed her to see what's happening, but hasn't heard anything back yet.....
  4. Hubby's CO is LG - she's been helpful so far, haven't heard anything for ages though, so am hoping that's a good thing!!!
  5. OMG that's less than 4 months - brilliant !! Here's hoping that's turning into the average time for everyone
  6. Grats lindon!! GAh we've still got so long to wait for hubbie's - just hoping he gets it before he flies (or at least a week or two after he lands so he can get to NZ in time - I have nightmares of it being granted 2 minutes after he clears immigration at Melb Airport!)
  7. We've still got ages to wait yet - just hoping it comes through before hubby flies out or it's yet more expenses for a return trip to NZ!
  8. Hi Em and Shaun, we're almost twins in the application - we sent off a week later, but hubby's medical was on the same day. Plus the same CO Fingers crossed they'll be granted early
  9. Gotta love the Visa bling I collapsed on the floor and cried when I got my UK indefinite leave back (mind you that was mostly because I'd applied late and was convinced they were going to refuse me...)
  10. Cheers B! We got our viscous attack labrador as a rescue so didn't have the puppy nightmares - apart from her still acting like one of course - I don't think they ever stop! (See her travel crate pictures on the PET forum if you're interested - I apologise for my husband's hairy legs in the background) And GRATS to Sam C! Yay!!
  11. We're still waiting for OH's visa (I'm the Aussie), but the CO says it should be mid-November. BUT average processing times are currently 4 months so we might be lucky and get it sooner!! Having been through UK visa applications I thought his one would be so easy - but it's not! It's sooooo complicated and took ages to prepare (I think it took us 2-3 months to get everything sorted).
  12. Hi simmiekisses, You can do the ACRO before or after - though most people seem to do it before. Unfortunately I think it's got to be that rather than the enhanced disclosure (although you could always send in the disclosure and see!). We were told to wait until the app was in to do the medical - fingers crossed that doesn't delay us at all. Good luck with it all
  13. Singapore gave me an extra 5kg as a returning Aussie citizen, we're just hoping hubby's visa is through in time so he can get the extra 20kg
  14. Hate to break the bad news, but I think it was just as bad sorting out Satch as assembling the evidence for hubbies spouse visa! We're going via a pet-travel agent (jets4pets) and they're sorting it all. Best advice i have is to get as many quotes as you can and challenge anything you're not sure about - but most of all, go with your gut. Fingers crossed Satch passes her blood tests or I'll be absolutely gutted She's a rescue dog - trying to figure out how to attach another photo from today but failing miserably
  15. Cheers! Yah, she's our viscous attack labrador (no, not a typo, definitely viscous) - guaranteed to nudge anyone who might possibly have food and calmly allow small children to put hats on her and hang toys from her collar and generally do anything at all without batting an eyelid
  16. I'm hoping you've got the visa by then (you've submitted same time as my hubby!), but if not it might be worth booking a changeable flight to NZ as evidence of your intention to leave the country Then you can actually use it and not waste it! We booked a return flight for hubby just to be sure he'd get through immigration if he's still on his ETA - fingers crossed we've wasted the money!
  17. It's what darling husband is planning on doing (with the support of his CO) - although now we've actually booked his flights his CO has now said 'Processing times are currently around 5 months so your application will be ready to approve around mid November. I cannot give you a more specific date at this time. ' His flight currently departs 8/11 and lands 10/11...... Trailfinders (geniuses that they are) are currently checking to see if he can delay by a week or so, but I know the fare was a good price which usually means no. Fingers crossed.....
  18. Grats - 3.5 months is very appealing, here's hoping LG is just as quick in a month or so
