  1. Hey there , as very stormy says, the Aussis do not acknowledge basically any Uk tickets, even electricians have to be re licensed and trained. Getting your tickets here are easy and i have obtained a quite few. The Aussies love certification and struggle to get through the day without saying'the words " qualified'' lol
  2. Been in Perth 3 and half years and decided to return to The UK as its seriously expensive here and not for everyone....Theres a downturn at the moment. When i was in the UK i worked 4 days a week and my wife didnt work through choice. Theres no way we could do that in Perth. good luck with the move:wink:

    if i come back

just a quick one ,im on a 176 skilled migrant and permanent resident. Our savings have nearly run out and we have to go back to blighty . Does anyone know how long we have before we have to reapply. We qualify for citizenship this October but simply cant afford to hang on, shame i know. Is it 5 years ? All help appreciated.

  5. good call snifter......this post could o gone wild lol:chatterbox:
  6. When we came 4 years ago people were bidding for the rental, even if you got it people would ring up the agent afterwards and out bid you!! As stated rentals are easy at the minute and even negotiable. B e prepared for 70s themed decor and agents who make al capone look like a kindergarten worker. We did a walk through with videos and noted every thing. Also upon arrival no one would entertain us because of no work history,we even offered 6 months rent up front. After renting a holiday let for a while we built up a bit of history. Gumtree perth is good for private Landlords.... good luck

Moving again seems daunting, especialy if we move and then decide its not for us,thats 2 moves maybe more, anyway we got two boys one is on apprentice, hell probably stay ,our youngest finds Perth boring which i agree on to an extent. Winters are tough. Mentally all over the place at the mo. Yes well probably try for citizenship first, silly not to
