  1. I am flying to Abu Dhabi airport from Oz and just wondering which currency would i get more value out of when shopping in the duty free, Aud or Euro?
  2. I am actually working on that bypass, the Mornington Peninsula Fwy. i will defo check out them places, thanks a lot!!!
  3. Great info, thanks a lot, funnily enough i am sharing with an Asian girl and she said to check out the eastern suburbs as well.
  4. There is so many places that might look good on the maps but to know what they are really like is better to be recommended imo but i do like the look of Pattersons Lakes, has it got all i am looking for?:jiggy:
  5. I have my wife and three daughters 7,3 and 1 years of age coming out to Melbourne in September. I am working from the Seaford area so we will be looking to live within 45min drive of Seaford, i know what places i don't want to live in (hope i don't offend anyone:smile:), Seaford, Frankston and Dandenog. What we are looking for is somewhere to bring up our children where we all can have a good life, a few things that we would like to live near would be shopping centres, parks for the kids, beaches and your everyday activities including golf:wink:, also it is important to us that we put our children into catholic schools so would be good if someone can recommend schools as well. I have lived in Mornington but only for 2 weeks and did like what i seen, also Cheltenham which i pass on a daily basis via the Nepean Hwy comes across as a nice area but i would like to check out a few more areas so would love to hear some recommendations, look forward to them:wink:
  6. I Landed in Melbourne 2 days ago with a friend as we are starting work in the Seaford area, my first initial thoughts on heading in the Frankston direction via the coast road was omg this is some dump. Got to Frankston and looked all good until i spoke with two friends and they informed me that Frankston is a rough place and do not go out there at night. We have found a B&B on the outskirts of Frankston for temp accommodation but we will need to find somewhere where we can settle, so to speak. We need to bring our family's with young children out here so we are desperate to hear from others on nice area's between Melbourne CBD and Frankston. So Help Help Help!!!
  7. I realize that, we are going to base ourselves in and around the CBD, still going to bring my raincoat  but i am starting to get really excited about the trip.
  8. Just spoke with my wife's uncle who is living in Brisbane and he said it is pelting down there and has been for the last 3 days, check out this link on a 28 day rainfall forecast http://www.weatherzone.com.au/long-range-forecast/28-day-rain/qld/brisbane , high chance of rainfall (75% chance) everyday for the rest of the month. I am heading for Brisbane in just over a week so not too happy about the weather:arghh::arghh:, will defo be bringing my rain jacket:mad:
  9. Moneycorp or Currencyfair? I see lots of members here use Moneycorp but no real mention of CF, none that I can find anyway so I would like to know a bit more about CF and is it safe to use, also who would work out better to deal with on a regular basis? Thanks in advance:wink:
  10. I know there is load of them but I am hoping someone might recommend a few, there is 3 of us looking for something for a week or two just until we find our feet and get somewhere more permanent, ideally we would be looking for our own room between the 3 of us.
  11. Dont want to be hijacking your tread but there is 3 of us (3 lads) looking for sort term accommodation, preferably we will be looking for an apartment with 3 beds fully furnished, we will be looking for about 2 weeks accommodation near or in the CBD until we decide where we will want to stay for a longer period, budget around $600 p/w.
  12. What about Qld, with the same questions as op?

  14. No kids going, just 3 lads:smile:
  15. I have a 676 visa with a 6 month stay, i don't know anything about the extra baggage allowance, the letter that i received granting me the visa states nothing about extra baggage or stop over's.
