My OH is doing it on 2nd June and hope to apply for visa before 1st July.

We had to pay $600 to vetassess to get skills recognised and then once that was confirmed we have been told to book practical exam $1500 and IELTS £125. My OH is joiner/carpenter and he is sitting these exams in UK.

If you have applied for SS and been accepted then you can add them to points on your visa application.

Does it not state on the diac application that you do not get points for the General Test? For the 10 points we need my oh has to sit the academic test, hope someone can clarify this for me. Thanks

We are doing it independently trying to save the pennies. When you see the link from vetassess it gives you the cost. Do you know if you have to sit the IELTS yet? My oh does as he needs the 10 points for the 175 visa.

Is it the case you receive no points for the General Test and also how do you determine what score you need as we require the 10 points to apply for 175 visa?

can someone help with how you are marked for the ielts. We need the 10 points but unsure on how its graded and what marks you need for the 4 sections to gain the 10 points. Thanks

Yes the next available date was sat 2nd june. All other dates were full previous to that date. Once you get the email from vetassess they add a link for you to go and book. $1500 just incase you dont know, we got a shock last week when saw the price.

Hi Kimsdu its the 2nd of June at College of North West London, all day thing from what i hear my oh has to be their for 7.45 until approx 6pm so going to be a long day for us both. Does your oH have to sit the IELTS test also? Im just trying to organise that just now but at least he can sit it in Glasgow thank goodness.

We got the email from Vetassess yesterday morning so a quick trip to bank and we booked it straight away, just incase!!! Still nervewracking thou wondering if we will make the 1st July application on time although according to the info we can ask the examiner for quick results so we will most definately be doing that. HI Kimsdu 2nd June was the only available date the March and April are all full unfortunately. Hopefully still be able to apply for visa before 1st July be a bit tight but everythings crossed.
