  1. Thanks Linda, yes, I've seen this on the parent visa queue page on the immi website, I was just wondering if anyone here with a May 2017 application has actually been contacted
  2. Checking in to see if anyone with a May 2016 lodgement date for contributory parent visa has had a request for documents?
  3. Hi all, Has anyone with a May 2017 lodgement date for CPV 143 had a request from immigration at this stage?
  4. Hello My parents included Form 47PA in their parent visa application but did not include Form 47A for each of their children. It has been a few years now since applying, can these be sent it at this time or is it better to wait until the more information request? Thanks in advance
  5. I can confirm the email is legitimate as I have seen a copy. It is correct client file number details and clear instructions to not reply to the email. All links in the email link to immigration website and no scam content present. It also says to "Please disregard this email if your application has been finalised" which indicates it was a blanket email to all parent visa applications.
  6. Good question - you can always call them (or email them) for the most up to date form to use for changing sponsor details. Did you get this because your application is close to the queue -- when did you lodge? They are currently processing contributory parent visas from May 2017 lodgement dates
  7. Very useful resource, thanks for sharing! Definitely still room for more progress this financial year
  8. That's a great reflection on why things are moving, thank you!
  9. Immigration updated their website on May 16th and it appears that they are going above the cap this year as they have progressed with applications with a queue/lodgement date of May 2017 now (previously was March 2017 earlier this year). Note this is for Contributory Parent visa applications. Wonder what the driver for this is?
  10. Yes that's correct @thinh7tn mentions they applied in June 2017 so this should be valid if their parent (s) was onshore on 24 March 2021
  11. Here is a Government page last updated August 2022 confirming these concessions are still valid https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/covid19/visa-information/visa-concessions
  12. The COVID-19 concession has not been lifted yet, "The initial concession period begins on 1 February 2020 and continues until a date determined by the Minister in a legislative instrument." MIGRATION AMENDMENT (COVID-19 CONCESSIONS) REGULATIONS 2020 http://www5.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/cth/num_reg_es/ma19cr2020202001181495.html
  13. @thinh7tn I was under the impression that the COVID-19 amendments allow for on-shore granting of 143 visas, where were you told this? Source: https://minister.homeaffairs.gov.au/AlexHawke/Pages/parent-visa-applicants-remain-onshore-covid19.aspx “The Government is pursuing changes to allow certain Parent visa applicants who have applied for their visa outside Australia to be granted that visa while in Australia during the COVID-19 period,” Minister Hawke said.
  14. As at 31 December 2022, we have released for final processing: Contributory Parent visa applications with a queue date up to March 2017 Parent visa applications with a queue date up to August 2011 Aged Parent visa applications with a queue date up to December 2012.
  15. Anyone predict when the next quarterly update will be posted on immi? https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-processing-times/family-visa-processing-priorities/parent-visas-queue-release-dates
  16. Much thanks Linda, this really helps paint the picture of where parent visas are at this year
  17. That's true, the 8500 Parent visa cap is not just for CPV's. I'm trying to also understand how many grants from other parent visa classes were likely done if that info is publicly available. Is this the 5 types of Parent Visas under the 8500 cap? Anyone know the maximum number of grants for each subclass this financial year? Parent (Permanent) (subclass 103) visa Contributory Parent (Permanent) (subclass 143) visa Contributory Parent (Temporary) (subclass 173) visa Aged Parent (Permanent) (subclass 804) visa Contributory Aged Parent (Permanent) (subclass 864) visa
  18. I'm trying to see how close Immigration is at the 2022/2023 cap of 8500 CPV applications processed This financial year (July 2022 to June 2023) they have been processing contributory parent visas lodged from August 2016 to March 2017 which had about 7982 applications (based on the attached analysis of lodgements, "CPV Lodgement Data Analysis posted on this forum previously"). Year/Month/# of CPV Applications Lodged 2016 August 719 (I don't know which day of the month they started / how many this month were processed as part of 2022/2023 year cap) 2016 September 844 2016 October 876 2016 November 1,047 2016 December 1,039 2017 January 761 2017 February 720 2017 March 979 2017 April 997 Total of 7982 So it would appear they should be able to get through some of the 2017 May applications this year before June -- am I correct?
  19. I guess we'll probably find out in late January once they publish the updated queue dates?
  20. Or they could be closed for the holiday period with less activity over the last couple weeks?
  21. That was a fast grant after payment! When did you lodge your visa application?
  22. No, still waiting on the request letter, likely 6 months away
  23. Hi does anyone know how long it takes to get an assurance of support completed? Is there a backlog at Centrelink?
